Disappointing consultation
This doctor wasn’t for us. She entered the exam room disinterested and made us feel like we were wasting her time. She seemed bored while gathering the patient history. She dismissed our concerns and offered little more than chronic pain management for our 15 year old previously very athletic daughter that just wants to return to life as she knows it. I have a medical background and I have doubts about some of what she was saying. Will be seeking a second opinion for sure.

Worst Experience
We had very unpleasant experience with Dr. Blakemore. Her manner of talking and questioning ‘why do you care if my son has or has not his condition’ seemed very unprofessional. She did not provide any recommendations for treatment unless I asked for them. I would not recommend her to anyone ever.

We recently met with Dr. Blakemore who determined my daughter is a candidate for VBT as opposed to a large spinal fusion (approx. T3-L3). I appreciate her taking the time to assess whether or not my child was a candidate and proposing a better way to treat her rapidly increasing curve.

Dr. Blakemore has managed our daughter’s scoliosis for several years and has done a wonderful job. Recently, our daughter fell and sustained a severe upper arm fracture that required surgical repair. Dr. Blakemore handled her surgery and did an excellent job. We have the utmost confidence in Dr. Blakemore’s skills and care. As a pediatrician and a mom, I recommend Dr. Blakemore without reservation.

I would confidently recommend Dr. Blakemore to family and friends. We travel from 2 hours away to see her because she is clearly the most trusted expert in her field for miles around. She and her staff are very thorough, caring, and spend time answering all of our questions.

After several appointments with other doctors including our pediatrician, we seen Dr. Blakemore. She is absolutely phenomenal. My 13 yr old daughter felt very comfortable and confident in our decision to proceed with surgery for scoliosis. I honestly thought we were going to have no choice but to travel to a different state to get the care that was necessary. Dr. Blakemore took her time with us and answered every question we asked based on her education, experience and fit for my child.
