Setting appointment
In the weekend I left a message to set appointment with laura. With no cola back on Friday called again. The phone system allows you to get a text back or wait in the line. I waited and then I was asked to enter my birthday and the last three letters of my name so the system could find me as a patient. Since I am not a patient and had no opportunity to call a human it is highly unlikely she will be my doctor.

Unorganized
74 year old mother just moved to area in assisted living. Got referral from Primary care doctor. Got all the way over there on Monday morning to be told that they don't see patients with Diabetes? How are you a legit Endocrinologists and not see Diabetic patients. This Dr must just be a glorified lab tech drawing blood and reading thyroid levels. Worst part was the Drs front office called me the Thursday before and took mom's medical info and insurance info. Don't you think then would have been a good time to inform people YOU DONT TREAT DIABETIC PATIENTS? Waste of time.

I would say no one should go to see her because if you need to get you thyroid check and you have a1c of 5.8 you are not allowed to ask any questions how keep it down. Her front end is very rude!!

Recently we have done televisions but prior to that, she has treated me for over a decade. I have always found her to be professional as well as up-to-date with treatments in her field. Genuine concern for her patients.

I have been dealing with my Type 2 diabetes for over 18 yrs. Despite being very fit and eating right I've had difficulty getting my A1C lower. Previous to this past year my treatment for diabetes has come from my primary/ internal medicine doctors (several I moved a few times), all of which were very good doctors. My daughter who has a rare disease suggested I see an endocrinologist and I was happy I did. Dr Rainer after my second visit changed my medication and my numbers improved dramatically ( 5.5 A1C ). The new drug was inexpensive as well. Thank you Dr Rainer.

Nurse was rude and condescending with a major attitude problem when I called to ask about my lab results. This was my second inquiry, having been told that the office did not get my first message. I will need to a talk to my primary doctor to see if he could help me.

I contacted this person's office. After 45 minutes listening to a recording, their phone service was defective. I tried several days later to a similar wait. When I got through a rude person said she was taking new patients only if referred by another M.D. my doctor sent my records that day. After 9 days I heard nothing so I called back only to be told that they would call me soon. When No one called, I called again. The person I talked to said appointments were not being made for 5 months. There were no apologies for the thoughtless failure to call back. Since I have a growth on my adrenal gland, I could have major health problems, or be dead by then. Needless to say I am extremely upset by this office's lack of sensitivity.

My first appointment today with Dr. Rainer having found the office staff proficient and knowledgeable including the above physician. Can't say enough about the quality of care on this very first visit with Dr. Rainer giving me ample time to communicate some of my medical history with her. Outstanding !!

She takes her time with you and answers all your questions. Very good bed side manners. She also gives some helpful hints and explains why she makes decisions about your health care. She doesn't just say take this pill, but she explains why it is the best choice for YOU.
