Great doctor -- substandard staff!
I was hospitalized and Dr Buddharaju was a consulting physician who basically took over my case and provided excellent care and designed a plan to get me home safely. His bedside manner was excellent, and his treatment plan was working well. The issue came with discharge, he was clear that I needed to follow-up in his office within 2 weeks and his office staff felt the doctor did not know any better and they would not schedule anything earlier than 3 months out. Don't bother asking to speak with the office manager as she does not have the time or respect to call patients back. Unfortunately, there are excellent physicians that lose numerous patients because of their office staff that don't show the same concern towards the patients as the physicians do. I would only imagine that if the Doctor told me, and wrote it in the discharge notes that I needed to follow up with him in two weeks, that it was rather important.

Waited nine days for a call back from the office
Saw him in the hospital and called for a followup especially important because there was a discrepancy between what he told us in the hospital and what the prescription said. We needed clarification to take the medicine. I called three times and left messages. It was nine days later before they called back. They tried to excuse it by saying he can only see three patients a day and has recently had so many followups. Certainly not a reason not to even call. He was great in the hospital but impossible for any long standing relationship. I am only posting this because I doubt the office staff will ever pass on the message I left for him. Hopefully he will see this review and understand his staff is not responsive in any reasonable manner.

It’s been an honor to be under the superior care of Dr. Venkata Budhuraju the past two years. Despite having initially established being a patient at this clinic with Dr. Budharaju’s former colleague, prior to his retirement, I’m confident I’m receiving (as I’ve continuously received) the utmost medical attention ... with an exceptional knowledge and a purity of passion that I’ve yet to see elsewhere in the endocrinology field.

So grateful for the great care Dr. Budharaju provides me. I was a bit apprehensive and worried before my visit, but he was very informative, caring and compassionate to my worries and needs. He even personally called me to check up on me and answer a couple of questions I had. I am beyond satisfied with this Dr. and highly recommend to anyone needing to see an Endocrinologist.

I was not impressed with the doctor or his staff. We were there for my father's first appt. The dr. recommended insulin. The instructions, supplies, advice, etc. were explained quickly and not clearly. The info was overwhelming for me and even more so for my father. We were shuffled from one office to another repeatedly. We'll find a different doctor that has a system in place to educate the patients regarding diet, how to use medication, where to attend class on diabetes.

My experience with Dr Budharaju was a GOOD one. However, my complaints are about his staff. On MULTIPLE occasions I have been on hold for an avg of 20-30 mins. My calls were to schedule an appt for a procedure I needed, so I would wait. There were a couple of times that while on hold for nearly 30 mins I would be disconnected intentionally for their lunch hour. I also left msgs with staff but with no return calls. I did this specifically with the front desk clerk Crystal & for the billing dept.
