Dr. Lance Wood, MD

Received a positive result for basal cell carcinoma after a biopsy taken at the end of February 2023, after waiting for review from Penn St people until mid-March, got a call from Wood's office telling me that my surgery was being scheduled for late July 2023- this seemed like an inordinately long time but the rep from his office said no big deal, the biopsy probably got rid of a lot of it- his office person told me I could call in to see if there was a cancellation on an earlier date but otherwise offered no wait list or other options- after my wife called our insurer then another person with Penn State health, I was scheduled for surgery with Dr. Cartee at Penn St. Hershey the end of April 2023-Bottom line, Dr. Wood's office is not patient friendly and doesn't seem to have any concern about treating cancer patients in a timely manner, avoid if possible and go with Dr. Cartee- he called me himself the evening after my surgery to check on me.

Excellent experience, Dr Wood and staff are friendly, caring and very professional. Definitely would recommend him for Mohs procedure.

Ada West Dr. Wood is professional and a great Doctor with a great personality. I have had him complete surgery twice with great outcomes. He genuinely cares about you, explains what he is going to do. He called me on the weekend to see how I was doing after my first surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Wood and Ada West Dermatology.
