Dr. Kode Murthy, MD

Provider ran genesight test, then disregarded the results and prescribed a combination of medications that induced postpartum psychosis. He has no comprehension of how to treat females and makes sexist comments that all women are hormonal and unstable and thus disregards how you feel as in his words “hysterics” I actually declined to transfer my records to my new provider as to distance myself from his horrible quality of care and repeated misdiagnosis. The only positive of seeing him was his office staff and the counselor he partnered with for patient care.

Been going here for over 5 years. I've made 0 progress mentally. Dr Murthy will prescribe you medication that he knows will do nothing for you. He is a pill pusher exactly like the other patient review said. He refuses to treat my conditions and acts shocked when I tell him his medications are still doing nothing after he raises the doses of all of them 3 or 4 times over 3 or 4 months wasting time and getting me no where. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS, find a real psychiatrist who CARES about their patients.

I have been seeing Dr. Murthy for more than 15 years. He has worked with me through my ups and downs and his been highly patient to say the least. I appreciate the patient doctor relationship we've formed over the years which takes honesty, kindness, and trust.

About three years into being Murthys patient, I was raped by an acquaintance. I didn’t say anything to anyone and tried to carry on as normal as possible. Unfortunately I had suffered an infection which lead me to break down at my Obgyn’s office. She promised me to talk to Dr. Murthy for help. I did and he told me women get hysterical when suffering from female infections and I should take my antibiotic. And he said you were already suffering from anxiety anyway.

At first I was hesitant to admit I needed to see a psychiatrist,I was dealing with PTSD,Bipolar Disorder,and anxiety problems. All of that combined started to affect my day to day life. Then I called Dr. Murthy's office and I made my first appointment. Let me just say,since I first saw this psychiatrist,he helped to change my life for the better. He prescribed me medication that is helping me tremendously,and is an all around very nice and caring guy.

Amazingly Helpful!!!!, I have seen Dr. Murthy for a while now and he is nothing but caring and helpful. Very kind, Good listener, asks great questions to get to the root of the problem without making you feel like you are in an interrogation. Recommend him to all my friends and family that need help!!!! Go to him, see him a couple of times and he will help you.

Dr. Murthy helped me get my life back on track. I spent years telling myself that I had to get back in to a doctor and finally went back and met Dr. Murthy. After a few months, I was back to feeling good consistently. I would highly recommend him.

Visited on 7/27/16. Dr. Murthy either knowing lied or doesn't know the side effects of the medication he's handing out. He repeatedly told me the medication he was giving me did not have a specific side effect (I asked about insomnia) that is in fact one of the top three most common side effects. The side effect he told me was the "only" side effect isn't even listed. My impression is that he's a pill pusher for pharmaceutical reps as he kept telling me we'd have to keep trying lots of times.

Everything about this guy and his office is creepy. He doesn't listen, just prescribes drugs and tells you to come back in two weeks. Then he seems genuinely surprised that you still have the same problems. So he presribes more drugs. His office is shabby and his staff seems actually hostile.

Comes off rude and rolls his eyes. Does not treat ADHD very well at all. Demands information even after asking it to be confidential. I'm looking for a new psych after seeing him just one time. He didn't explain anything.
