Dr. Kimberly Kernek, MD

I had Dr.Kernek for my last two pregnancies. She was absolutely amazing. Very attentive and caring. I recommend her to anyone I know who is pregnant. I would drive nearly an hour to see her, rather than my local OB. Both of my pregnancies were high risk, and she took that seriously. I’ll never understand how anyone could have a negative experience with her. She’s truly the best!

I was seen by Dr. Kernek in the OBGYN ER and felt very unheard and looked over. She did not answer my concerns or questions in a polite way. I felt very rushed and put off.

I can’t believe all of the negative reviews. I was so impressed with Dr. Kernek. I have had multiple miscarriages and went with her for 7th pregnancy/ 3rd live birth. She did a beautiful job on my c section/ repairing scar tissue 5 years ago. It almost looks like I had a partial tummy tuck. The scar is so small and no Fanny pack. She helped me avoid recurring miscarriages as well. Very impressed, was sad to hear she left Baptist. I an overweight and she did encourage me to make healthier choices but I did not have any issues with her commenting on my weight like others have stated in reviews..

In my opinion, Dr. Kernek is a wonderful doctor. I wish she was still practicing at Baptist Health in Louisville, Kentucky.

I had Dr. K as my OB for my first pregnancy. Only after going to a new OB did I realize how unhelpful she was to a first time mom. I felt rushed, unheard. At one point I fell and injured myself and she told me that I was still fine to work my physically demanding job, with the injury while 8 months pregnant. I had to go to my PCP for documentation to lighten my work load. Happy to have moved on to a more caring healthcare provider.

I was seeing Dr. Kernek for a couple months and every visit she would comment on my weight. I understood I was overweight, but it took me almost 8 visits before she understood that I had PCOS. She sent me to a dietician to help discuss weight loss habits but when I spoke to him and gave him a rundown of what I eat in a week and how much I exercise, he even questioned why I was sent in. I explained to HIM, A DIETICIAN, that I had PCOS, and he understood completely. We just talked the rest of the appointment, and I wasn't charged at all. Every issue I had with the birth control she prescribed me was because of my weight. She would always cut me off and never let me talk. At our very last appointment I mentioned my insurance would be cut off and she charged me $85 just to come in the room, tell me I need to lose weight, keep taking my pills and then walk out and schedule me for next year instead of next month. I advise anyone with PCOS to seek medical help with someone else...

I almost norm a fan don ghe way she handled my last pregnancy and her lack of help.
