I saw Dr. Peacock and ended up in ICU. Although labs were taken weekly, no one notified me that one of that one of my levels was at a dangerous level. Only after I complained about my symptoms did he review the chart and inform me that the previous week that particular lab result was significantly out of the normal range. Transferred my care to another oncologist after this oversight.

I wish I could rank Dr. Peacock less than 1. Dr. Peacock proclaims to be an expert in cancer. However, I was fortunate enough to have my medical records read by the 5 Centers of Excellence for Cancer from 5 separate states. All 5 experts agreed on the exact course of treatment, with the first step being a simple test to determine Vitamin D levels. Dr. Peacock had never even heard there was a correlation between depleted Vitamin D and cancer. After finally convincing him to have my Vitamin D tested, the results showed my levels to be significantly depleted. Further, his office is an administrative nightmare. They could not even get my name and date of birth corrected in their registration system. For oncology, avoid Dr. Peacock and his practice and go to Emory.

Dr. Peacock is friendly but you will definitely feel like “another statistic”. He comes across as compassionate but you will see that his knowledge/experience with TNBC may be lacking. He doesn’t seem to create a cancer plan based on individual prognosis and concerns- he gives you the standard plan. I wanted surgery first because I was diagnosed with a grade 3 breast cancer - I was stage 2 and had no cancer in nodes. Surgery would have ended spreading. He convinced me to get chemotherapy first which is the standard. The tumor continued to grow while on chemo and we didn’t find this out until afterwards because Dr. Peacock did not order a sonogram to see if the tumor was responsive to the chemo halfway through treatment. I did not know that other doctors do this until another patient told me her doctor ordered a sonogram halfway through treatment and then changed the plan based on it being non-responsi. Now I’m waiting for surgery with a tumor that has almost doubled in size.

Dr Peacock is kind and compassionate with his patients. I was terrified with the thought of having to go through 16 chemo treatments, but he was clear in his explanation of my treatment and made me feel more comfortable with the process. He gave me excellent advice concerning how to take care of myself while my immune system was compromised and I have no doubt that he was a huge factor in my getting through chemo safely and with few side effects. Now I am on HT and so far everything is going smoothly. I couldn't be more happy with the excellent care I have received from Dr Peacock!
