Great surgeon really looks at whole picture.
Many orthopedic surgeons are hyper focused on their specialty. At my first appointment with Dr paisley I went to him for a second opinion on a shoulder I’d already had operated in multiple times. He quickly noticed my shoulder blade wasn’t moving properly with my shoulder. He order me a nerve study and turned out my neck was the real issue and he found and once that was fixed I was able to forgo the shoulder surgery for a while. When he did operate in my other shoulder it was by far my most successful shoulder surgery. He’s now the only Dr I trust I go to him as first opinion on any medical issue I might have. He helped me navigate a needed back surgery got me referred to a great back surgeon. Did the same for me when I had issues with my hip later on.

Trusted Second Opinion - Compassionate Care
We are incredibly grateful to Dr. Kevin Paisley for the care and compassion he showed our daughter. From the moment we met him, he made us feel heard, respected, and supported. We had sought a second opinion after having doubts about a previous diagnosis, and Dr. Paisley took the time to carefully listen to our concerns, thoroughly examine our daughter, and walk us through his findings with clarity and empathy. His diagnosis confirmed what we had suspected all along — something that was unfortunately missed by the previous provider. Because of Dr. Paisley’s expertise and thoughtful approach, we were able to move forward with confidence in our daughter’s treatment. His professionalism, kindness, and dedication have made a lasting impact on our family. We truly appreciate his help and highly recommend him to anyone seeking a skilled and compassionate physician.

Dr. Paisley has performed surgery on me for a myriad number of issues, including both shoulders for rotator cuff and reconstruction due to an old falling injury. He has replaced both of my knees, and has performed surgery on my left hand for CMC with great success. His office accommodated changes to my insurance following retirement and I have enjoyed greater and better quality of life. My winter passion is cross country skiing and I feared I would not be able to continue in the sport. I have skied four Tours of Anchorage since the surgery and continue to ski for health and enjoyment. I am 72 and have no intentions of stopping until other issues prevent me.

Do not use
Dr Paisley crippled me for life during a reverse shoulder replacement. I tried 3 times post op to have him help me but he wouldn’t. He just ignored the problem. I live in constant pain 7 days a week 365 days a year 52 weeks a year. The pain does not go away. He damaged my shoulder and arm with constant nerve pain. I am not the person I was when I walked through his doors. Good for all you folks that made it! This comment has nothing to do with liking staff or him for that matter it has to do with the ability to have a successful out come or not. I did not have one and it is his fault. I would never use him again nor would I recommend. It’s a 50/50 chance to whether you make it out or not successfully. I’m not the first or the last that he will cripple.

Go to the Best - it's Dr. Paisley
I can't say enough good things about Dr. Paisley. I recommend him to everyone I know who needs shoulder surgery. He explained my injury to me in terms I understood, explained what he would do in surgery in detail, and what to expect afterwards. He did a phenomenal job. My shoulder is back to new it seems, it's been 3 years and absolutely no issues. The wait time for appointments is excessive, but he's a busy guy in high demand.

OK this afternoon I made a post about how disappointed I was about having to wait over 45 minutes on one of my first appointments. When I left I basically told the front desk I was disappointed. When I got to my truck I called the office and ask for the doctor to talk call me. I just got off the phone with him and I’ll give him credit for listening to me and understanding where I was coming from. Him calling me at home on his own time tells me what kind of doctor he is. I plan on seeing him next week. So maybe I jumped the gun right when I left his office. Hopefully this will correct that

Dr Paisley is the best orthopedic doctor I could have ever hoped for. He fixed my tennis elbow in both elbows. He allowed me to enjoy life again. The Marines and life destroyed them, he fixed them. He even let me remain awake during surgery because he knew my fear of “going under.” Talked me through the procedure as he went along. I learned so much, healed so much, and am grateful for this amazing Dr. Picking anyone but Dr Paisley is choosing the JV team over the NFL pro bowl squad. 100% fedeli approved.

I am so thankful for the expertise of Dr. Paisley. I had rotator cuff and bicep surgery on my shoulder a year ago with a different orthopedic surgeon in Anchorage that failed terribly. I lived in agonizing pain for months. When I went to see Dr. Paisley he sat down and took the time to listen to me. He was very compassionate about my pain and explained everything clearly. Dr. Paisley repaired my damaged shoulder six weeks ago and did an excellent job. I experienced immediate relief from the pain I was previously suffering. I am healing and moving my arm remarkably well. If you are looking for a kind, quality surgeon who specializes in fixing complicated shoulders, I highly recommend Dr. Kevin Paisley.

I would really like to rate him higher but I can't. The reason being is that I barely actually saw him. I saw his PA, who I really cannot stand for other reasons, twice before surgery and once afterwards. I was told that Dr. Paisley was to busy to meet with me other than for a very brief pre-op appointment and then he was on Vacation for my post-op. Additionally, his PA had told me morning of surgery that he would come and speak with me before I went under and that his first surgery was running late, I never saw him. My surgery was scheduled for 9am with a 7am check-in time yet I did not go under until after 11am; this would have been fine if two of the nurses at the surgery center hadn't been so nice as to inform me that he overslept, they had to call him, and he rushed into his first surgery. Also unless you have good insurance DO NOT take his estimate with any weight, my actual bill from him was more than double. He getting the number of stars he is due to my quick recovery.

I have seen Dr. Paisley for a shoulder injury. I had never heard of him before I was referred to him by my physician. His caring attitude and knowledge gave me the confidence to trust his decisions in my care. He took the time to explain my injuries, answered my questions in terms I could understand, and explained the best plan of action. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Paisley.

I was faced with my first ever prospect of elective surgery after a rotator cuff and bicep tear. Kevin correctly diagnosed these on my first visit and the MRI validated the extent of the injury. Kevin explained the procedure and anticipated post-operative recovery time, then asked what questions I might have. It has been 9 weeks since Dr. Paisley performed the arthroscopic surgery. I already have less pain than prior to him performing the operation and never needed any opioids even during the first week after surgery. My range of motion has continued to improve dramatically every week, and I expect to be able to participate in the Alaska Dipnet Fishery in July, thanks to Kevin’s skills as a surgeon. If you are looking for an orthopedic surgeon with a passion to see people regain their vigor as quickly as possible, meet with Kevin before you commit to an alternative. Dr. Paisley is an avid outdoorsman with a heart for injured Alaskans.

Dr. Paisley did an excellent job relaying options and explaining the procedure, follow-up, and expectations for recovery. He has an inviting bedside manner that conveys care and confidence while patiently answering questions and ensuring the patient is fully educated and prepared. The overall patient care from him and all the staff was outstanding. After six years of guarding my shoulder from long-term injuries, I am one year out and I couldn’t be more pleased. Have highly recommended him!

I have already given Dr. Paisley's contact information to 3 friends. After dealing with a pain for almost 2 years and avoiding a medical solution to my issue I was referred to Dr. Paisley. From my first office visit I had complete confidence that he understood my situation and he had the solution that would work for me. Now 6 months after my surgery I feel great, the pain in my shoulder and arm is gone. Thank you Dr. Paisley you and your staff are great.

Dr. Paisley has a very conservative approach and will use surgery as a last result. After trying suggested alternative: methods, major shoulder surgery was a must. Dr. Paisley and his staff created a very relaxed, trusting atmosphere in the office and surgery center. I am extremely pleased with the results; the ability to sleep without pain during the night and live a very active life style once again is amazing - THANK YOU, so very much!!
