There were conversations (re: approval of a new biologic medicine that would helpful) btwn MD & insurance that was stalled for two months!!! Insurance folks said they were waiting on him to complete ppwk they needed for new biologic— his staff said it was not them. In my frustration, I called and asked to speak to MD—- md’s assistant called me back and told me verbatim that the doctor said if I want to talk to doc, I needed to make an appt!!!! With him, a patient can get an appointment no sooner than three to six months out. On my next visit I brought to his attention the frustration I felt; I mentioned what the assistant had told me- he turned red !! I believe knew he had made a mistake!!!! I’m fine with not being able the speak to a care provider, but the fact that he was no help in getting this issue resolved, tells one everything you need to know.

Dr. Kevin, Kempf and his PAC Sarah, White are both my primary health care providers in managing my complex chronic health from the RA & OA. I’m so lucky to have such a talented team and also appreciate their above average level of care. The patience, the compassion and the amount of time they have put together to evaluate for the best treatment and to also monitor my lab work and assure me that the treatment they select will be evaluated ongoing. I admire the professionalism and their genuine care. I recommend this office and physicians for anyone searching for this specialty. Kudos

WORST experience trying to make a simple doctor's appointment. Dealing with the office staff is like being put on some crazy ride you never wanted to be on to start - unprofessional, condescending and just outright nasty. Told me it wasn't my decision to make my own appointment, and I should just get used to that now! Demand my SS#, transfer me to the even nastier billing department and threaten me with over $1500 out of pocket because of info THEY DON'T EVEN NEED TO BILL MY INSURANCE. What kind of egocentric, maniacal office is this, and do these doctors even know how badly they are being represented? Or do they have some crazy God complex where they believe they are above courtesy and decency to patients?? Absolutely offensive in every possible way. By far the most despicable doctor experience without ever even being able to see the doctor! They should be ashamed of their haughty behavior and the way they choose to engage with the public they are meant to serve. FIRST DO NO HARM!

Dr K is flat out amazing...when I came to him 16 years ago, I was about to give up hope on the medical profession, I really was at that point. Being sent to Dr K was my last hope and Dr K did something that NO OTHER Dr did...he listened, he was kind, compassionate and actually cared about what I had to say and felt, not only that he was beyond patient with a patient whom had lost theirs. I would highly recommend him to anyone and everyone I know.

Dr. Kempf has been my doctor since 2005. He has always made me feel that he is happy to see me and that we have plenty of time to deal with any issues I may be having. I have recently moved out of state and am still making the 2 day drive to keep my appointments with him. Obviously, I highly recommend him to anyone needing a great rheumatologist.

Dr. Kempf was so lovely at my initial consult but i've gotta say, he really pulled a bait and switch because I've never been allowed to see him since then. I can't even get questions relayed to him effectively and the way they do things there is very inefficient (for patients. I'm sure it's plenty efficient at making money for the docs).

Dr. Kempf listens and asks good questions. He is not impatient and doesn't have a god complex like so many physicians! Made one diagnosis and is doing further testing to address other issues. When he suggests a medication, he discusses side effects and presents more than one option. Office staff follows up with test results and are very helpful as well. The lab techs/phlebotomists (?) are really upbeat too. Well run office with good medical staff - what more could one ask for?

Cant even get an appt. with this guy because the staff answering the phones is horrible. I called to make an appt. with him and they wont schedule an appt. w/o med records. I call my doctors office to have them faxed and after receiving the ok i called Dr. Kempf's ofice and they tell me give it a few days to be entered in the system. This went on a few times. Bianca from this office stated they cant call my doctors office at all? Why my doctor even referred him i have no idea.
