I wont let someone like this cut into me!
This man is everything that is wrong with the current medial system. He should only be allowed to practice in the third world. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for your care. He also smells terrible like he does not shower or brush his teeth. You have been warned!

Dr. Hansraj performed neck surgery due to two herniated discs that were causing pain in my arm and hand. The surgery took care of this. Him, his office staff were understanding and patient. I would recommend Dr. Hansraj.

He is all about sending you to his fellowmen for further testing. Too bad he doesn’t read what is already available from the records shared in the Nuvance system. Instead with a test that was fine only two months prior he gave me a script to have the same mri that I just had done. And the same thing happened with one of his fellowman providers. I clearly had a relationship with my specialists, but oh no. I don’t trust anyone who plays these games and expects the Medicare system to pay for unecesssary tests. No wonder the fund is running out of money !

Dr. Hansraj is the type of doctor that doesn't jump to conclusions. He provides a thorough examination. During my multiple visits, he spent a lot of time going over the X-rays, providing me with preventative workouts, and habits that I could do to help my pain and my overall health. Honestly, it's so refreshing that there is a doctor out there that cares about my mental health as much as he cares about my physical health. I would never have considered mediation or gratitude journaling as a viable part of my recovery. But when you focus on your mental health and peace you realize how much pressure you put on your body physically. Between medication, meditation, gratitude journaling, regular exercise, and healthy eating I was able to get build muscle around my back and get stronger. I'm so grateful for Dr. Ken!

The man is an egotistical buffoon with no bedside manner and little common sense. Told me my condition was incurable, then went OUT INTO THE HALLWAY as I was checking out to lecture me in front of people that I'd better start meditating that my life was over. He scheduled more X-Rays and MRIs, though, and when I came back with, said, happily "I found your problem!" - which led me to believe he had better news. No, the problem was the same, my life was going to be over. But he still recommended surgery, even as he said it was untreatable. I thought about this for a few days and called him back. Why surgery if there's no treatment, I asked. I never recommended surgery!, he replied. Yes, you recommended an Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion, I said. No I didn't!, he replied. Check your notes, I insisted. Oh, I guess I did, he replied, after checking. Well, why, I insisted? Ummmm, I guess you really don't need that surgery, he responded. Pompous, doesn't listen, no bedside manner!

I couldn't be more pleased on every level. Dr. Hansraj was very attentive and I never once felt like I was being rushed, which is surprising in this day and age, especially considering the scheduling was on time. The staff is very friendly and attentive, the office was clean and well kept. The surgery was a success and the followup appointments were as courteous as the previous visits, which in my mind means a superior level of care for patients even after the monetary considerations are completed.

After a car accident in November 2019 and several months of pain and unresolved therapy I was referred to Dr.Hansraj . I had a compression fracture of L2 and couldn’t last more than a few hours without laying down or taking pain killers . As of June 2020 Dr.Hansraj completed kyphoplasty and I felt immediate relief within two days after surgery. Dr. Hansraj and his organized staff made me feel comfortable having the surgery throughout the entire process . I cannot thank them enough.

I have enjoyed 4 years of pain free living since the fantastic lumbar surgery performed by Dr. Kenneth K. Hansraj. I will be forever grateful for the many opportunities that normal range of motion and freedom from pain have made possible. It would be my great pleasure to recommend Dr. Hansraj and the NY Spine Surgery and Rehabilitative Services in Poughkeepsie.

After 3 years of severe back and leg pain, no other doctor would help me, I've seen doctors in Albany and had shots in my back, nothing helped. After being referred to Dr. Hansraj, he looked at the MRI that all the other doctor's seen, and he told me, at my first visit with him, he could help me. He sent me to a place that showed a clearer MRI and seen that I had extra vertebrae. He operated two weeks later and I haven't had any pain down my leg or in my back ever since. Is been 13 weeks. I would highly recommend Dr. Hansraj and his staff, I've had nothing but a great experience.

Visited him for evaluation of persistent neck pain. This doctor mostly just reviewed the imaging studies. Little attention to me. Kind of dismissive of symptoms although very severe. Never gave a serious final diagnosis. Self-promoting. Did not like the experience at all. I would not recommend him.

Dr. Hansraj performed ACDF C5-C6 on me. I had gone through 3 years of all the usual temporary relief procedures such as Physical Therapy, Cortisone Injections and Cervical Rhizotomy. Dr. Hansraj is brilliant. I could not have ever dreamed of such a successful outcome from surgery. Within 2 weeks I was out of my brace and within 5 weeks I was back to work. Strength back and pain free.

Dr. Hansraj is the most open, honest, and professional doctor that I've encountered. His explanations of issues, procedures, and the associated risks/rewards are clear and informative. In my case, every step was exactly as described and the surgery was seemless. I highly recommend Dr. Hansraj if you are experiencing any back related issues.
