Dr. Zacher, quite frankly, saved our son's life with emergency surgery for diverticulitis and perforated colon. Without Dr. Zacher's skill and care, I know our son would not have survived. Dr. Zacher continued to make hospital visits to see him and give up-dates on his condition, which continued for at least 6 months, including the colostomy reversal surgery.

My wife had an office visit to look at a cyst that was hurting and oozing . Another Dr. had already told us it had to be removed. The office staff told us they would check with our insurance and get back with us as soon as possible. A couple days later my wife called to check on the status. The receptionist said the Dr. wanted the oozing to stop before he operated. Three days later my wife called them again. The same person said it didn’t matter if it had stopped oozing and if it wasn’t oozing, it wasn’t an emergency. She also said she had called our insurance and was on hold for an hour. We now believe all of this was lies. We called the insurance company and they said their system would not allow being placed on hold for an hour and this Dr. wasn’t even accepting our insurance. We wasted over a week. We like Dr. Zacher but his office messed up badly in our opinion.

Emergency ostomy surgery patient, In pre op room This "Dr." Made me FEEL like i was inconveniencing him. I even voiced it, including subtl saying to myself, Oh my guy this guy is being a jack@ss!" I would have stopped the surgery/refused him as the surgeon, if i was not in so much pain and severe state. Then found then next day sure enough, he went on vacation. Patient left ABANDONED, could not fulfill followup hospital discharge orders to see him/office within 1 well. Upon calling earliest was 3 weeks out. SURGICAL STAPLES would have been left in longer than standard care allows. Had to find a new Dr. To do this Dr.s job/duties, and issue those order after 18 days of not hearing from Zacher/office. DAY of appt. I Find out appt WAS MOVED as more staff was going on vacation. Now August APPT wrong/moved. Had a wrong phone number where they claim the left detailed messages. HIPPA/PRIVACY VIOLATION? Point is i was never even told. THERE IS NOTHING PROFESSIONAL OR RESPONSIBLE ABOUT THIS Dr.

Dr. Zacher operated on my wife for an obstructed lower bowel after other means of dealing with it failed. He kept us fully informed before and after the procedure and had a comforting “bedside manner.” I’d highly recommend him.

I had a hernia that needed repair. I have a surgeon that I like but he is too far. After research, I picked Dr Zacher. I verified my research with a friend that works in the same hospital. He came highly recommend. He was outstanding from the 1st appt to the last post op follow up. He &his staff were friendly &extremely helpful. I understood each step of my procedure & had all concerns addressed! His nurse is pretty awesome too. Just 1 1/2 weeks po & all is great! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
