Excellent care
I had an issue that was very bothersome & urgent and Dr Gandhi was able to get me in next day. She addressed my concerns and I left the office with all my questions answered. Dr Gandhi and staff are all extremely nice. Unlike most other derm practices, you will always see Dr Gandhi, not a PA. I had a great experience. Highly recommend.

Recommendation for Dr. Gandhi
Dr. Gandhi is a very caring, knowledgeable, experienced and very helpful dermatologist. She reviewed my past medical history and current concerns. Completed a thorough visual body scan, identified a couple of problems which were resolved. And scheduled a follow up to review a more serious problem. Which was subsequently addressed and resolved . Outstanding Doctor and very thoughtful and engaging. Thank You Dr. Gandhi!

I have seen Dr Gandhi twice. Each time she was very late, irritable and rude. Her behavior was disrespectful and unprofessional.

I was referred to Dr. Gandhi by my physician because of a mole on my upper chest he thought should be checked out. When I arrived, I was immediately put in a room, told to take everything off from the waist up and was given a gown to put on. After waiting for 55 minutes, she came in, turned to me and looked at the mole and said it was nothing and that she was more concerned about another spot as she immediately sprayed the area, filled a syringe, and stuck the needle in the area. After that she handed me a piece of paper that had wound care instructions and left. She was in and out in 5 minutes! I never got a chance to ask her any questions. I would NEVER recommend her to anyone.

You get the feeling that Dr. Ghandi is in the business of making money rather than treating patients. I have had two office visits. During both I experienced dull and rude front desk staff and nursing assistants. That usually is bad enough for me, but what topped everything off was waiting over an hour to be seen and seeing multiple patients waiting as well. One of my appointments was the first appointment of the day so I was really confused as to why I had to wait so long, yet I still waited over an hour. Apparently several other patients had the first appointment of the day too. Both visits I experienced a doctor with short answers and a lack of time to treat all of my requests because she had to rush off to her next appointment. The reason I had to go twice was because a mole I had wasn't treated properly by her in the first place, and as it is healing now I noticed it still wasn't fully removed. I asked about another mole and got two different answers from her both times (one time

I have seen Dr. Gandhi for about 10 years and I trust her. She found my melanoma in situ, which was removed, and I dodged a bullet, avoiding advanced melanoma. She consistently catches my abnormal moles (dysplastic nevi). I find her attentive to all of my questions. Three of my kids have seen her, and I know they are in good hands. I am so thankful for how she cares for our family.

Dr. Gandhi is fine I saw her once for a scan. She is friendly and efficient. I trust her. BUT her front office staff are horrible. About a year after my first visit, I made an appt. a week in advance. Showed up on the day of my appt. and was turned away... apparently because I had cancelled an appointment a few months previous to the current appointment. Not only that, the young woman at the reception desk claimed that I had requested my records be transferred. (I had not). So, when I made the appt. all was well, but a week later, they had no record of my appt. and said I was no longer a patient. No attempt to reinstate me as a patient, or even look into what the confusion was. The young woman was awful. Dr. Gandhi would do well to look into her front office staff and their negative, unhelpful attitudes.

I had an appointment on 03-03-20 in Dr Gandhi's Vernon Hills office and found - as usual - her staff to be very competent and respectful of me as a patient and Dr Gandhi herself to be thorough and professional. I have been seeing Dr Gandhi for over 10 years and travel over 40 miles from my new home in St Charles to continue to enjoy the benefit of her expertise and demeanor. I have changed all of my other health care providers since my move but do not intend to give up Dr Gandhi's counsel.

Made my appointment a few months in advance. On the appointment day I was turned away because I accidentally left my insurance card at home as they would not take me in with out it in hand. They made no exceptions, and the desk staff were very rude and unprofessional. I will take my business else where.

Awful! I would not recommend her at all. She overbooks like crazy! I was in the waiting room talking to a few others only to find out we all had the same appointment time! It’s not uncommon to wait for 1-2 hours beyond your appointment time. A full body check she does in 5 minutes. Those should ideally take at least 30 minutes or more. She is in a huge rush to get you out the door. It’s clear patients aren’t her priority.

Unfortunately, Dr. Gandhi has total disregard for the patient’s time. The wait time for my first visit was almost an hour and for the second visit was an hour and half. The doctor spent less than five minutes and did not answer my questions in both of my visits. In addition, disliked taking any written notes. I will not see her again.

Dr. Kavitha Gandhi has been my dermatologist for nearly 10 years now. She is not only an expert and a very knowledgeable physician but also a fine educator who can help patients to learn about obtaining and maintaining healthy skin. I also find Dr. Gandhi to be thorough, understanding and compassionate with respect to the management of the issues we are addressing. She has helped me greatly over the last 10 years in the management of a chronic condition. In short, I recommend her wholeheartedly.

I had been referred to Dr. Gandhi by my primary physician after he removed a small growth. I've been her patient now for over two years. There have only been a couple of times where the wait was 45 minutes, other than that the wait is what I think of as normal, fifteen to twenty minutes. We all deserve our time! She has always answered my questions, and been concern with what concerns me most. I would highly recommend her.

Obviously Dr. Gandhi has total disregard for the patients time. It's obviously a problem with scheduling. I just retired from a dental practice and made it a point to never let a patient wait for more than five minutes, she should do the same especially since dermatology has few if any emergencies. Our time as patients is no less valuable than hers !

Wait time often near an hour . She seemed intelligent but refused to listen to what I had to say about my personal issues and would interrupt me on a fairly regular basis. Ended up taking two rounds of accutane (wasting thousands and thousands of dollars)before she told me the drug was fat soluble(must be taken with food!)she tried acting like this was a new finding so I did a little research and found documents noting this 14 years prior. Scary that a Dr can't doesn't understand proper drug use

Inflexible when working with insurance company benefits....The patient pays before the insurance company according to Gandhi. The office visit in my case was diagnostic rather than the purpose of the visit (annual preventative visit the office sent me a reminder). Patients beware Do Not Do Business with Gandhi...I appealed to her and she blew me off like no insurance company pays for Dermatology annual preventative screenings...My plan does but she would not change codes and I paid the price.
