Karen Karsif did my surgery ,giving me the best possible physical outcome. Previous to my surgery, I did my research- Columbia Presbytarian, Sloan kettering, Weil cornell, all the top surgeons. I was horrified at the poor attitude in those top hospitals . It helped that I had biology background and had done research, so I knew what questions to ask. They did not like my questions and had little time for me. All were so sure of themselves, and admitted that they were teaching hospitals, meaning that someone else would be learning, holding the scalpel while I would be on the table.. Dr Karsif assembled a team of experts -for reconstruction , anesthesiology, nurses, all experts and trained by her, so that I was left with the best outcome . She is the kindest person too. She was willing to give of her time whenever I needed her. Every step of the way. She even holds support groups for her past and present patients. Unbelievable. You will simply not a find a doctor like her.

Completely lucked out with Dr. Karsif as my surgeon. From the start, she was kind and reassuring and it was immediately apparent that she was incredibly knowledgeable and up on the latest technology and information. Few doctors have her bedside manner. Additionally, before and after surgery she was always willing to text or talk when I was worried or had a question. Basically, she saved my life; and if I could give her 10 stars, I would.
