Dr. Karan Chawdhary, MD

I met Dr. Chawdhary for the first time a couple weeks ago. I am probably younger than most patients he's seen as I'm in my 20s. He didn't do an exam to see what was currently going on. He asked what my main issue is and went off that. He said about me having fibromyalgia "if you (the patient) even have that". This was very disappointing and it felt like he didn't care about my quality of life whatsoever. I was visibly upset and he walked out on me. I will not be returning to this practice as this has been my fourth rheumatologist as others keep leaving but this Dr lacked any empathy or compassion. It felt like he judged me than helped me.

I have been a long time patient at this practice. Dr Chawdhary is new to the practice, so I didn’t know what to expect. He was excellent! Seemed very interested in my health history and what is happening now. He seems very thorough, skilled and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend him to others!

I have seen Dr. Chawdhary on several occasions, and I 've found him to be very attentive and informative. He was responsive when I needed medication. I continue to see him as I feel he listens to me. CAG - August 2020

I saw Dr. Chawdhary for advanced arthritis in my hands and gout. As I was talking to him, I felt as if I wasn't really being heard. I went for the prescribed bloodwork. Weeks later, I had to call to ask for my results. I left a message the first time and had to call a second time since I didn't hear back. After being on hold for 10 minutes, the receptionist read me the notes that started with "Tell the patient....". Really? So if I had questions I wasn't speaking with a nurse or a Dr. I wasn't going to go in for a second $400 appointment at that point. He just recommended I refer back to the conversation we had and get injections. I'm looking for something that will help on a more permanent basis. I guess I will definitely need to find a hand specialist that will listen and offer better options. Very disappointed.
