Many issues
Impossible to reach even after surgery. Created double vision in an eye with toric lens implant. Stated the issue for moths, keep delaying. Stated all his measurements, surgery etc. had no impact on something that appeared after he went into the eye. He is a factory and doesn't sign off on his notes half the time. etc..sloppy

Hideous Treatment of Patients... Avoid
I don't care if this doctor could restore vision to Stevie Wonder. The way he runs his office is an outrage. Weeks ago I made an appointment with this doctor for a routine check up. When I arrived today a little bit before 2 PM, the time of my appointment, I was told by an arrogant woman at the front desk that the doctor was running between two and three hours behind schedule. She mater of factly told me that the doctor routinely TRIPLE books on days when Dr. Winokur sees patients in his Great Neck office. I indicated that I was not about to sit there for 2 to 3 hours! What an outrage, what an insult, how pathetic! This person shouldn't be practicing medicine if this is how it's done. Northwell ought to do something about this. I will find someone else who does not TRIPLE book and who does not treat patients like chattel!

Telehealth
Didn’t spend the time to understand the issue and brushed off concerns, this is a doctor who doesn’t care and won’t help you.

3.28.22 : So far . . . NOT SO GOOD!
3.28.22 : So far . . . NOT SO GOOD! Was told to call "Shanell" for appt. for Cataract surgery. I made (that) call twice, over two weeks. Left detailed messages both times, NO RESPONSE! This is NOT a good sign for the Efficacy of (this) professional practice. No patient courtesy. No follow-through. I give them an "F" (as in FAIL) grade!

Horrible. Simple cataract surgery turned into a disaster. Eye is MUCH woese than before procedure. Eyesight is now terrible, blurry, cloudy all the time. This affects my life every day and he wants nothing to do with it. BE VERY CAREFUL WHO YOU LET OPERATE ON YOUR EYES

my son was in severe pain in his right eye. Winokur had him wait for 3 HOURS in a very unpleasant waiting room, before seeing him and when finally he saw my son he allowed him 5 minutes and gave him a prescription for gel and did not even give numbing drops for the pain! Never go there!

Dr. Winocur misdiagnosed me with dry eyes and I spent a fortune on medications to help resolve the problem and my eyes got worse instead of better. Finally found someone who knew what he was talking about!!!!!

I waited two hours to see Dr , on July 25. I was rushed through the entire process. Dr Winokur gave me very little time. I received a new prescription for glasses and promptly brought that in to my local optics shop on Monday July 25. The Optics shop tried calling Dr Winokur several times as there was a discrepancy in the RX. Dr Winokur still has not responded. I have called several times. The store has called several times. Still no call back. UNACCEPTABLE.
