Dr. Joshua Cohen, MD

Never available. He mostly works hospital and only in office 1 day a wk per location. It took months to be seen after established and about 6 mos for procedures. He uses PA or NP for all problems addressed between visits instead of himself. Not optimal for patients with GI diseases. I transferred to Cohen after yrs of diagnosed Crohn’s and other GI disease. He never tried to know me as a patient and never allowed enough time for a full history. When any symptoms arose, he was quick to dismiss. He used the IBS excuse if he had no answers. I felt gaslit. He also consistently tried to dismiss away yrs of already diagnosed conditions from other GI docs, all tested and confirmed. Which was very arrogant to think he knew more than other GI specialists. He went by older tests for acute or change in symptoms. I had to ask for standard monitoring labs or tests, as other GI docs did, but he usually denied. Seemed like he did not want to do anything beyond procedures and left all else to PA NPs.

Dr Cohen discovered my stomach cancer in 2019 and has worked with me since. He still provides Services after I have had many surgeries to remove 85% of my stomach and if not for him this would have gone undiagnosed and could have been deadly. I am a complex patient and he is currently working to assist me with care.

He was very receptive to discussion, informative, and professional. Very thankful to have had him referred to me.

Dr Cohen is a excellent Dr! I have Crohns Disease and he has helped me so much! If anyone is looking for a gastroenterologist I would certainly recommend him. Very caring and knowledgeable Dr. .

Absolutely terrible. He had his arms crossed and was leaning against the table as he saw me as if he wanted to be anywhere else. As I began to explain my problem, he interrupted me and said "It's IBS". Didn't hear me out, didn't ask about my symptoms... just told me it was IBS. I have a feeling he didn't take me seriously since I'm a young woman. BEWARE! Do not see him if you want a doctor who cares.
