Dr. Joseph Hermosa, MD

Dr Hermosa is kind,patient, professional, gives me time to answer any questions that I have. If out of his area of expertise he will refer me to the correct MD. I highly recommend him.

It broke my heart when Dr. Hermosa suddenly left Georgetown. He was the most caring doctor I ever encountered. I moved shortly after he left, and am sorry I am not in a position to continue as his patient. Austin TX July 2021

Dr Joseph Hermosa, is a kind, empathetic, and accessible physician. I cannot over-emphasize these qualities. Between scheduled appointments, I have contacted Dr. Joseph Hermosa via email , to get his input on various issues that are important to me. Such as the scorpion sting that refuses to heal. In addition, during June of 2018 I was hospitalized for hip surgery; a “Revision.” Dr. Hermosa showed up at my bedside even though he was not involved in the surgery. I was so surprised all I could say was ; “How did you know I was here?” With a smile he responded, “I have my contacts.” Of possible interest to geriatrics like myself is that Dr Hermosa makes "house-calls." Zero likelihood of recommending Dr. Hermosa to anyone. In fact, he closed his office and has not honored our request for medical records. This was a disaster.

I was with Dr. Hermosa since 2006. he was good until he went on his own. Everything the other reviews say are true. I had routine blood test done and after 3 weeks trying to get my result's, i finely called the lab and they sent me the results. There is no care here. Your wasteing your time. I understand the office is closed and he quit practicing.

Dr. Hermosa was a good doctor, but his staff ruined his office. They were rude and didn't follow through on anything. We had to physically drive over there in order to get anything done. From prescription refills to referrals to getting appointments scheduled, it was always a mess. Phone calls were not returned. To top it off, we had another issue and drove there only to find a sign on the door that said - office closed until further notice. No explanation. We now have a new doctor.

Great doctor but his office staff is the WORST I have EVER encountered ! Due to the poor office staff , I cannot recommend him . This is truly a shame because he really is a great doctor. Poor office staff is the reason I am looking for another doctor .

I agree with the other patients....his front office staff is the pits. I left messages to reschedule, and NO ONE returned my call. It is a shame...I felt like I was in good medical hands with him.

My husband and I like Dr. Hermosa, He is very nice and caring. His office staff sucks!!We have been having problems with the office trying to get appointments! The lady at the front desk told me I couldn't see the Dr. Because I owed, but we never got a bill, then she overcharged! Needed a follow-up within a week and couldn't get in for 3 weeks! Office mgr wouldn't let my husband see Dr. so he can talk to him. Time to get another Dr. sorry to say!

He's a great doctor, thorough and intuitive, good listener and a sweet guy. Most of his back office assistants are considerate and polite. The front office staff is the worst. Over the years several (all) of his NPs have abruptly quit. We understand that at least two of the NPs left his practice because of the rude and hostile front office staff. The front desk at this office serves as a barrier. Sooner or later they'll find some way to get under your skin and chase you away.

sent in paperwork to be new patient, no response. i call, leave message. lady called back, said she didn't know who i was, couldn't find paperwork, another employee is no longer w/ office-she input my info, lady said not all in the computer and she doesn't have my paperwork. i wait for over 2 weeks for an appt, then office is losing employees, lady is not very friendly or cordial. beware of lady who answers the phone. no appt made, cuz they seem to lose paperwork, employees, are not very nice.

He's a good doctor, but his staff is terrible. The receptionist, tattoo girl, has an attitude toward patients. She won't answer the phone, instead you get a voicemail. She calls back in 2 or 3 days and enters false information on her computer. She makes it look like it's the patients fault for everything. Dr Hermosa used to have a good staff at the old location, but needs a complete staff overhaul in this new location. Today's date is 5-5-16.

He is extremely thorough, spends the amount of time necessary to address all of your concerns. Asks a lot of questions, (thorough) goes over every concern you may have. Is very easy to talk to, (which is a huge plus when seeking a doctor) seems to have a good sense of humor.....makes you feel like he sincerely cares about you and what he can do to help..spends whatever time you need. My husband and I really liked him. would recommend him highly.

Dr. Hermosa's is an AWESOME dr, IF you can get in w/him. His staff is extremely rude, insists you have to see A Nursing Assistants, which have TERRIBLE bedside manners, wont listen to your concerns, talk over you, refuse to refill a MED dr Hermosa has already prescribed, and if you're sick - they refuse to do flu, strep or other tests and always guess it's allergies, tell you to take OTC Meds,then say if still sick in 7-10 days, come back n pay more money to hear the exact thing.
