Excellent care from Emergency to discharge. Dr. Farrell fit me into his busy schedule very speedily and I couldn’t be happier a year later.

Dr. Farrell has now replaced both of my knees. He had done a terrific job and just after exactly three weeks, my right knee replacement is healing beautifully. I can walk without a cane and just started driving. My PT at Elite says I am way ahead of where most folks are at three weeks post surgery. I would trust Dr. Farrell and his PA, Brian Pepper, with any kind of orthopedic repair. They communicate so well with patients and take the time to let you know exactly what to do to heal. I also loved my in home PT, Graham Robbins, from HomeCall who provided terrific PT for the first two weeks post surgery. This team does amazing work!

Dr. Farrell: I agree with the excelente ratings he receives here on hid skills as a surgein. I was most impressed with his bed-side manner and that of his team. During my treatment leading up to my surgery, he was genuinely listening and and willing to work with me on my treatment plan. . He has a great team and a professional work ethic. Dr. Farrell is a skilled, professional, and caring physician. My right hip surgery went very well, and after 8 weeks of PT, I was ready to play golf again. I would definitely recommend Dr. Farrell to friends and family.

Dr Farrell has replaced my knee 4 years ago, and my hip last year. Both surgeries went well and I was up and moving right away with limited pain. Just saw him on my one year checkup and he showed me the hip X-ray taken that day, and explained how it looked and answered all my questions.I will use his services in the future without question, if my other joints need repair.

Dr. Farrell is the best! He took time to explain my problem and requested additional testing to make sure the surgery would be doable. I hade my surgery 1/4/2024 and I can’t believe how great I am feeling. His office personnel is fantastic and made it go much easier than I expected. I was referred to him by my many neighbors who have had the same surgeries. I feel blessed to have found such a caring Surgeon.

I had my one year follow up appointment with Dr. Farrell, for left hip replacement surgery. He was quite pleased with my latest x-rays, and I cannot thank him enough. Recommended to me first by my primary care physician, I’ve come to learn that Dr. Farrell is highly respected and beloved by so many residents within the community, like myself, who have been in his care for hip and knee replacement surgeries. Dr. Farrell is an outstanding surgeon and I will forever be grateful to him. We all deserve to be pain free.

I am speaking on behalf of my 93 yo Mother (who suffers from dementia) fell and broke her hip over the Memorial Day weekend. Thank God Dr. Farrell was on call. His bedside manner was outstanding. His ability to explain in layman’s terms was appreciated and refreshing! He definitely cares about his patients and wants to see them achieve full recovery. (Dr. Farrell is now my doc for all of those reasons above) Can’t say enough about his care and highly recommend him!!

Dr. Farrell completed a right hip replacement to help me avoid a spinal fusion. I was walking without the need of a walker in two days, cane in two more. Used one prescription pain pill the first evening, and relied on over the counter medicine afterward, if needed. Physical Therapy went well and the therapist was amazed at the results. The results have exceeded my expectations. Dr. Farrell spent time explaining surgery results to my wife and stopped in to check on us after 7 pm and again spent time answering questions. He looks you in the eye when speaking to you, not at you, listens and answers all questions. Very professional and personable doctor.

Dr Farrell was very professional, knowledgeable and personable. He explained my knee issue clearly and gave me practical ways to resolve and to prevent further knee discomfort. He not only told me about which brace would work - he actually pulled up a picture on the computer to show me which one to get. He made me feel super confident regarding the present condition and future prognosis for the well being of my knees. I highly recommend him to anyone suffering from knee issues. He appears to be as compassionate as he is knowledgeable in the area of orthopedic care.

I had Dr. Farrell and his team, including his PA Bryan Pepper, do a left hip replacement. I had a right hip done by a very good Orthopedic surgeon in Maryland 5 years ago and that went so well, I was seriously considering traveling the 140 miles, especially since the first hip was done anterior approach, and was so easy and a complete success. Dr. Farrell prefers the posterior approach for which I was skeptical but knowing what a great Orthopedic doctor he is, I took his advise. For one who has had both approaches, I now agree, that Dr. Farrell’s Posterior approach was the better choice. Start with a great Orthopedic doctor, and end with a good P/T (I used Permier in Milton), and I hope you’ll be as successful as I was. John Clark

Dr Farrell performed a TKR on my right knee one year ago. Initial appt he listened and planned the best surgical procedure. My one year f/u…… everything as planned. Walking again 3-4 miles a day. No pain, can do stairs. Would highly recommend

I have had two total hip replacements with Dr. Farrell and was 100% satisfied with each one. From initial complaints to post op follow up, Dr. Farrell and his staff were professional, caring and affable. Dr. Farrell's main office is in Lewes and he has office hours in Ocean View on Mondays, which was very convenient for me. Dr. Farrell was patient and explained everything clearly so I would know what to expect pre and post surgery. He is a highly skilled surgeon and recommended highly by former patients and health care providers. I highly recommend Dr. Farrell of Orthopaedic Association of Southern Delaware.

I had knee surgery in 2020 and very pleased with him. I had some problems and he was on vacation and came into see me. Not many doctors would do that. I was expecting to see his assistant. My husband just had a full knee replacement with him and very very pleased. I would recommend him as a doctor.

Dr. Farrell replaced my left hip on March 4, 2022 and I feel wonderful. He is caring, answered all my questions and I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a new hip or knee. The staff he has working with him, are excellent as well!

I had to have my hip replaced in 2021 and was fortunate to find Dr. Farrell to perform the surgery which took place during one morning in March - I was walking in the hospital hallway within a couple of hours and cutting my grass within a week. It has now been more than a year since the surgery and, based on my overall experience, I highly recommend Dr. Farrell with no reservations whatsoever.
