Rude coordinator
The first visit was good, and I liked the doctor. As a cancer patient I needed to have biopsy which my insurance refused to cover. I've had this procedure several times in a different office, so this shouldn't have been an issue. My insurance refused to cover it as an 'investigative' procedure. A person named Rebecca (coordinator, not sure what her title is) refused to even discuss my options, and when I tried to explain the situation to her and come up to an acceptable solution, told me 'I was going in circles.' In fact, she's the one who was repeating the same over and over, and was unable to explain to me the meaning of the word 'investigative'. As a result, I will use a different office.

Needs more work on customer relations
No respect for appointment. They fix an appointment time like 10am but you have to wait for over an hour to see him. Some of us are leaving work to see him but it appears that only his time is valuable. When you tell the receptionist, she says it is because he is a specialist and deals with serious cases. I have had appointment with heart surgeon and he sees patients on the agreed time. This has nothing to do with being a specialist. It is poor time management and lack of respect for patients. The doctor needs to be a bit more friendly. When he saw me the second time, no greetings, no smile. He may be a good person but we judge by what we see and perceptions are sometimes reality. I don’t think I will go back to see this doctor.

Very Unfriendly and DIscorteous
This office has office staff that is unhelpful, unprofessional and uncaring. Do not waste your time with this office - ask your primary for a referral to a different doc. Not worth wasting your time and being treated this was by the staff.

Laser Enucleation of the Prostate
I went to this surgery with a lot of skepticism, because I heard a lot of different opinions, but Dr Masel is the best surgeon for this kind of surgery as of today I haven't feel any pain or discomfort and I went back to my normal routine one week after my surgery. Also the personal at the office are wonderful and very knowledge about what they are doing as well their nurse. Love Dr Masel and their personnel

Horrible experience
Dr Masel does know what he is doing, but he and most of the office staff our lacking the fundamental concept of patient care. They yell at people, when they are asked to explain appointments and billing. Today alone, three people that we know of were yelled when asking pertinent information.

Extremely bad. Wait time of one hour. When I pointed out that being punctual is a sign of professionalism he became very aggressive. After visiting him 3 times I came to schedule a procedure. I told him 6 times I was ready but he was so irritated with my observation about his lack of care for patient time that kept asking if I wanted the procedure or not. When I finally decided to leave he asked me to give the paper work so he could charge the insurance for a visit that did not happen. This is not honest. So Masel made me waste 3 visits - all of them with considerable wait and terrible care. I would have this warning for anybody in need of urological care: STAY AWAY FROM MASEL. This doctor has not good bed side manners, does not respect patient time or opinions. The staff is not very different for their master.

On Friday 04/07/2017, I had an appointment with Dr. Masel at 11:00 a.m. I waited for 2 hours in the reception area while I had to listen to a loud TV program and then I waited for additional 20 minutes in one of the doctors diagnostic rooms. When Dr. Masel came into the room I complained to him about the waiting time and his answer was: "you were free to leave at any time and in fact, you may leave now". This doctor shouldn't be working as a phisician. Awful experience !

Awesome experience! Dr Masel and his staff were all very nice, friendly, welcoming and most importantly, very thorough! Although we had to wait quite a while to see the doctor, it was well worth the wait. Both Dr Masel and his physician's assistant spent quite a bit of time with us, answering our questions and consulting with us.

Dr. Masel is friendly and appears to be highly intelligent but seems overly concerned with the fact that I'm a larger person....He wants a cat scan of my abdomen instead of a regular x-ray because he claims that he won't be able to see the stones since I'm larger....My previous Urologist was always able to see my stones clearly with a regular x-ray....Will a cat scan have more radiation and be more costly? I don't know but will research it.
