He is an incredible neurologist. He is very caring and is genuinely concerned and listens to your symptoms and pain. Dr. Wanebo never made me feel like I was just another patient with the same pain issues he probably witnesses and sees many times a day. I can’t thank Dr. Wanebo enough for giving my life back to me.

The Best Doc!
Dr. Wanebo and Julie have been INCREDIBLE. My husband has undergone two brain surgeries, performed by Dr. Wanebo, and he has exceeded our expectations. We have seen many doctors due to my husbands health issues and Dr. Wanebo has been the one that we turn to the most. Of course he is a fantastic surgeon, but we value him so much as a kind, caring, and compassionate doctor. He has a relaxed and uplifting energy, and has really calmed us and has given us much needed peace of mind during the tough road that we have been traveling. Best doc around!

Truly amazing doctor who cares for his patients and their families. My husband had an aneurysm and Dr. Wanebo and his team did everything they could to get him back to healthy again. I would rate him 10 stars if I could. He explained everything each step of the way and made us feel so comfortable in a very stressful circumstance.

Dr. Wanebo saved my life
Seven years ago I suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm while driving. Thank God Dr. Wanebo was on call that night. He performed surgery the next morning to clip the aneurysm and I ended up also needing a shunt a few weeks later. I could not have asked for a more humble and caring surgeon to save my life. Throughout my follow up appointments, Dr. Wanebo took the time to answer all of my questions and review my follow-up CTs with me. I would not be here today without him. I am forever grateful.

Frontal Craniotomy Meningioma Removal
I had a 18mm meningioma removed and felt like I never had surgery, I woke up feeling alert, fine, no pain and no pain medication needed. I felt like a miracle happened. Dr. Wanebo is awesome!

I warned that the patient he wanted to operate on had, in the past, not been strong enough to sustain assaults on his body and had had major complications. I understood the Dr.'s reason to believe he ought to proceed, but, in the end, the result is evident--the patient died.

I had lower back pain starting more than ten years ago. Over the last several years the pain had become more predominant starting at back of hip, down the thigh and to the calf of both legs. This had severely reduced my ability for physical activity, with daily discomfort progressing to difficulty in finding a pain-free sleep position. Because it was most painful when I straightened my spine, my walking gait had slowly progressed to a the stooping forward mode. Dr. Wanebo's clearly explained his analysis, benefits and potential risks of his recommended L3-L5 laminectomy to address the issue of pinched nerves. Surgery was performed in March of 2021. It is difficult for me to overstate the excellent positive results obtained. From the moment I woke up from anesthetic, I could sense that I could now move my spine with no nerve pains. Recovery was swift, pain meds were only needed for two days, and I feel that my life is now back to normal. Thank you Dr. Wanebo and team.

Dr. Wanebo performed a TLIF L4-L5 spinal fusion due to a spinal cyst and instability. He is amazing. I was in so much pain before the surgery and I am back to enjoying life pain-free. He is a serious surgeon and very thorough. It’s pretty miraculous what can be done. I was pretty nervous about the outcome and potential risks but my recovery was relatively easy after the first week. I am now 10 months post op and back to playing golf, teaching and doing Pilates, walking 3+ miles a day and lifting my grandsons. Went to Thailand 4 months post op and a cruise to Southeast Asia at 5 months post op. Didn’t have to curtail any activities. I highly recommend Dr. Wanebo, he gave me back my life.

Dr. Wanebo performed a 10-hour surgery on my spine. His work was meticulous. His diagnosis was accurate. His treatment was the most appropriate. His mannerism and compassion are evident in him and his highly professional team. He is available when needed. That was the third surgery on my spine and I am confident it will be the last. Thank you Dr. Wanebo. You deserve my strongest vote of confidence.

I came to doctor Wanebo when it was discovered that I had a massive Arachnoid Cyst on my brain and spinal column. I had a headache that lasted for weeks, and numerous other symptoms due to all the pressure that was being put on my brain. Dr. Wanebo looked at my MRI and suggested we do surgery to perform a fenestration of the cyst. He clearly explained the procedure and all the risks associated with it. I have never had surgery before so it was fantastic to have someone be clear and upfront about what was going on and how to proceed to get me back to normal. He performed the surgery and everything couldn't have gone better. It's been a little over a month now and my headaches are completely gone, the incision on my head is healing up great, and I feel better than I have in years. Going to Dr. Wanebo and getting surgery was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Brain and spine problems can be pretty scary, but Dr. Wanebo is the best in the business and will put your mind at ease.

I am a recent patient of Dr.. Wanebo. He and his team at the hospital and his offices are terrific. 5 stars, more if I could give them. I had a frontal skull lesion that fortunately turned out to not be malignant. The surgery was professional, really top notch. He, the nurses, anesthesiologist, and others made me feel I was in the best hands. I would send anyone I loved who needs this type of surgery to him.

In June I rushed my wife to the emergency room due to severe and sudden motor control problems. She was diagnosed to have a hemorrhaging tumor on the right side of her brain. Dr. Wanebo was able to remove the tumor so that my wife regained 100% of her left side motor skills. He has remained engaged with her radiation treatment, coordinating with the radiation oncologist for the treatment of a tumor in the facial nerve canal. His office has been very responsive with referrals when needed. I have a very high degree of confidence in Dr. Wanebo's surgical skill. His medical guidance is communicated clearly and in a caring way. The entire office demonstrates a sense of caring. We consider ourselves very lucky to have Dr. Wanebo on my wife's medical team.
