Cataract Surgery
Very pleased with my recent Cataract surgery performed by Dr. Sheppard. I was a challenge to his staff due to my strong urge to blink during the pre-surgery measurement process. The staff was very patient with me and kept working until they were able to get the required measurements. I highly recommend Dr. Sheppard and his team.

Dr Sheppard is most concerned about his patients. Kind. Polite. Friendly outstanding in his work. Most knowledgeable in everything concerning the eye. I have known him as my doctor over 20 years. No way he has ever treated anyone in a negative way. Carolyn Papafil

Horrible experience!! Horrible "Doctor"
Dr. Shepherd was rude, arrogant, condescending, inattentive, wouldn't listen to our concerns, and had a horrible bedside manner. He acted like he was getting annoyed when my daughter would flinch when her eyes were touched. Her eyes are super sensitive so what does he expect?? My daughter and I left his office pissed off. I would not recommend him to ANYBODY!!

Dry Eyes
For years I had dry eyes. At times extremely painful. I’ve been under Dr. Sheppard’s care for over ten years. He is EXCELLENT in his field. He listens, he provides feedback & develops a plan. I can not say enough good things about this physician. He’s the best!

Very experienced cornea specialist
Dr Sheppard is very experienced in treating issues like mine with cornea problems made worse by chronic dry eyes. He was absolutely qualified and comfortable doing the ‘permanent tear duct plug’ procedure. I wish he had explained it a bit more in advance of the procedure date. I have had issues with his office staff not following through on getting prior authorizations done for prescriptions and forgetting to call in new prescriptions after appointments. I realize they may have staffing issues due to COVID so hopefully this situation will improve.

I am completely satisfied with the emergency and continuing care received for my eye. The nature of care was an infection on my transplanted cornea. The emergency treatment saved my cornea that is more than 20 years old.

I've been seeing Dr. Sheppard since the 1980's when he joined forces with Dr. Bodner. Dr. Sheppard is caring, knowledgeable and sees his patients as people and not just a walking eye with legs. The staff is friendly and provides a clean environment, especially challenging in the days of Covid.

I recently had a procedure performed to improve the vision in one eye. Dr. Sheppard did an excellent job and his staff thoroughly examined and prepared me for the procedure. Dr. Sheppard has a very caring and calming demeanor that you only find in people that have achieved excellence in what they do.

My daughter went for an exam and was told by Dr. Sheppard that plaquenil helps prevent Covid. I then call and speak with the clinical director who says, she has read articles that state that plaquenil is used for Covid patients.

I was so pleased with my visit from the beginning until i went out the door in the end of my visit. All of the staff was excellent. Dr. Shepard is a wonderful Doctor, he explained my procedure and i was relaxed all the through. The assistant was so thorough, in helping relax me, and was so pleasant, by the time the doctor came in i had no fears and was ready for him. I would recommend him to anyone that needed eye care. My eye is doing excellent and i cannot wait to get the other eye done. Thank you all for great care, and staff service.

Dr. Sheppard has been my ophthalmologist for many years and we have a great relationship. He takes all the time I need and explains everything he is doing. That's why I don't mind long wait times - because I know he's giving the same excellent care to all of his patients. His staff are well-trained, very helpful and pleasant to work with.

This practice is overbooked and not focused enough on patient needs. Dr. Sheppard recommended a product to me that you can only buy in their office, and lo and behold, guess who was the lead researcher on development? Of course insurance doesn't cover it. Then he went on several visits later to recommend another procedure not covered by insurance to the tune of $900. Better yet - I was told results would only last 18-24 months! This practice is a giant machine concerned about $ not patients
