This was my 1st visit to a urologist - I was referred to Dr John Roehmholdt after dealing with a kidney stone last week in the emergency room- this Dr's office got me in for an appointment very quickly, and even in the waiting room was very quick-Dr Roehmholdt explained everything to me, and although I am a bit nervous about a procedure he advised that I would need, he was very good at explaning what could happen if I didnt do the procedure, as well as every detail of the procedure which made me more comfortable-Im still nervous, but at least I feel like I am in good hands

Dr. Roehmholdt is motivated & very professional .
'I've always found Dr. Roehmholdt to be very polite and professional. He's a Doctor that does his job very well and He will do what he feels is the correct thing to do for Your benefit, to fix what needs fixing. He doesn't need to be your friend, he's your Doctor . I'm Not saying he's not friendly , he is , but That's really not what you're there for , is It ? He's a man on a mission and has plenty more patients to fix' . I would recommend him if you need a Urology specialist , he knows his specialty . I've recommended him to quite a few friends and family .

Dismissive and rude
I was caring for my husband who just left the hospital and rehab with Covid and felt pain. The ER confirmed a stone over a uti. I tried to convey that to Dr R for alternative options as I could not let this become “emergent “ as I had no help. His words of “what do you want me to do” still stings to this day. He would not offer any more pain medicine, and told me to give it a week and if wasn’t gone to come back. He may technically be good, but his bedside manner is rude, short and lacks any form of compassion

Terrible Service, no help at all
My husband went in for kidney stone pain, he's had 5 of them over the years and is familiar with this issue. His normal doctor wasn't available so he had to see Dr. Roehmholdt. He was extremely rude, dismissive, wasn't interested in his previous kidney stone issues, wouldn't provide a sonogram even though that's how they were previously found. My husband left with no care, no answer and extremely frustrated and in pain. We are so disappointed in this level of care and unsure where to turn to next. We are done with this practice and disgusted that he was unheard.

I have never encountered a more rude, cold, or dismissive doctor. After a cursory exam, discussion was frustrating. You look to a physician who provides options and helps you make decisions. In my case, I didn't feel that I was being heard, or that my concerns were adequately addressed.
