Dr. Pickard’s surveillance plan of PSA testing, imaging and biopsy enabled detection and removal of early stage prostate cancer. He required me and my wife to pre-read information on the American Cancer Society website so we knew the basics of the disease. Next he patiently and clearly communicated to us the treatment options, basic statistics on effectiveness and consequences so we could select the best treatment for our lifestyle. We selected robotic prostatectomy performed by a competent surgeon in the practice. I am quickly recovering from the recent surgery and will return to Dr Pickard for ongoing monitoring and treatment. Many thanks to Dr. Pickard and his team!

Everyone with whom I came into contact and those I observed while in the office were friendly, helpful and professional. Phone contact with Dr Pickard’s staff was excellent as each person I spoke with was very responsive to my inquiries and meeting my needs. I wish I could remember each name to commend them for their service. The nurses make you feel comfortable and important as they go through the information gathering prior to meeting with the doctor. Dr Pickard is always personable and professional as he addresses your issues and speaks in layman’s terms explaining thoroughly what he prescribes for your treatment. He has provided me with prescriptions as necessary and followed up contacting me to see how the medication is working, as well as a prostate biopsy and later doing surgery for my condition. I highly recommend Dr Pickard if you need a Urologist.

I read the reviews here before I went to see Dr. Pikard. Apparently, he has good days and bad days. I feel he had an agenda to get in and out of the room as quickly as possible (and I was with him only a short time). His practice is busy and he appeared rushed. He came in, said hello, asked 3 quick questions, gave me his thoughts and was apparently ready to leave. I had prepared a document that provided information that I thought would be helpful to him. I gave him the document. He gave it back to me without reading it (read that again friends - he just gave it back - didn't read it). He was apparently too busy to get additional information that I think was value-adding. He wasn't unpleasant but his chairside manner was brusque, even dismissive. I have not decided to go elsewhere, folks have bad days, but I hope this is not a trend for him.

What an amazing Urologist in the DFW area. I’ve been having prostate problems for years, and he’s been the only one that addressed the problem. Highly recommend Dr. Pickard.

My initial visit to Urology Clinic and meeting Dr. Pickard. I was very impressed. We discussed several issues I was having at length and various tests were done. He prescribed procedures that should be undertaken and two prescriptions to take. He was very thorough and explained the path and instructions for me to follow. Dr. Pickard's staff was very attentive and professional. I am scheduled for a follow-up visit in approximately three weeks. I am very pleased to have been able to retain his services.
