Dr. John Masterson, MD

I underwent a routine scope and clean out on both of my knees performed by John. Unfortunately, my left knee got infected while in the hospital and started leaking fluids. When I went back to John, he initially dismissed it as normal, wrapped it up, and sent me home. Over the following weeks, the issue persisted, and I continued to express my concerns to him. Eventually, he drained the fluid and had it tested, only to realize that surgery was necessary. I ended up having three surgeries due to complications that arose after the initial procedure. I was hospitalized for over two weeks, couldn't walk for the same duration, and had to rely on a cane and crutches for months. I am still unable to resume normal activities. Another surgeon informed me that the delay in addressing the infection led to damage in my knee that necessitates a replacement. Also, due to being a diabetic, the neglect in timely treatment puts me at risk for losing my leg in the event of another infection. Despite all

Very nice staff - Dr. Masterson spent time answering all my questions and was very thorough.

My first visit with Dr. Masterson was about 10 minute He said I had bursitis, nurse gave me a shot in shoulder . So I did 6 visits to the physical therapy and was not any better. Called for an appointment and saw Valarie his nurse who basically saw me for another 10 minutes.Basically Masterson gave me the wrong diagnoses so I was in pain another 2 wks. Masterson is suppose to operate on me and I have seen him 1 time.MASTERSON GAVE ME THE WRONG DIAGNOSES AND I AM SCARED TO HAVE HIM OPERATE ON ME.
