Dr. John Dugan III, MD

Dr Dugan is very Informed and very understanding during my office visit. I had a colonoscopy at the Fannin location and he did a excellent job in discussing the findings of the test and the staff at the Fannin Location were excellent as well. I would definitely recommend Dr, Dugan as a Top Doc. in Houston

Dr. Dugan always spends whatever time is needed to satisfy my questions, which he does in medical/technical terms (my preference). He has recently successfully removed a persistent flat rectal polyp; the site has healed cleanly and the biopsy showed complete absence of any malignancy. I'm now old enough to graduate from colonoscopies. Dr. Dugan also has a psychiatric hat which he put on at my first appointment. He counseled me to give up my fantasy of my body returning to age 20 conditions and to deal with my reality. He said, "I've got patients with worse conditions than yours who are living happy, active daily lives, doing whatever it takes!" I'll never let him go!

Went in for a colonoscopy with Dr. Dugan and he was fantastic from start to finish. He explained everything and answered all my questions. He was on time and everything went just as he explained. He is a great young Dr which means I do not have to look for another Dr as my 2 previous Dr retired,

He spent a lot of time with me but did not listen to what I said. He just wanted to do a colonoscopy when it was not a procedure that was diagnostic for my problem I had one in the past and it was not helpful for my problem. He also ordered tests and when I received the report, He didn't know what the test was and said that someone else must have ordered it. He did order it but could not explain what it was and why it was ordered. I was very disappointed and would not go there again.

Fabulous doctor!! He did a colonoscopy on my husband. My husband had severe vomiting the next day, which we eventually learned was coincidental and had NOTHING to do with the colonoscopy. Dr. Dugan told us to go to the emergency room which we did. They did a scan. Everything was fine so far as the colonoscopy area. But when Dr. Dugan looked at the scan, he saw something abnormal on my huband’s kidney. He immediately called us and the spot was cancer!! Great doctor!!

Dr. Dugan is an excellent doctor. I had an endoscopy with him last week and it was totally painless and easy! I have already received my results and couldn’t be happier with his services.

Does not pay attention to documentation. I saw him due to my regular GI doctor being out. He failed to document the accurate reason for my appointment with him, which was to obtain a stool study, to prove my claim of being exposed to cyclospora from recalled cilantro. He incorrectly put a diagnosis as my history, when it was another disease. He cost me my settlement against the insurers of the recalled cilantro due to poor, inaccurate documentation, and failure to pay attention to detail.
