Dr. Dougherty is a good listener and definitely did everything I needed to recover from my surgery.I have already recommended him to other people. I needed in-home therapy after my surgery and he made sure it was set up for me. It really helped my recovery and alleviated a lot of concern for me as I did not have someone to drive me to outpatient therapy right after surgery.

Both knee replacements were surprisingly easy. I was back to light duty work in 8 days.

Dr Doherty is direct, competent with great results. I heard many stories of leg replacement being a more painful and difficult recovery than hip. Not in my case. Everything step proceeded without any issue and with very little need for pain meds. PT started at home and progressed to output. Progress went surprisingly well and pleased with progress.

Very experienced with the procedure. Covered all details involved. Very thorough.

Frank, honest, beyond professional. Yes, appointments sometimes require a wait, or delay. This is because HE CARES. Each patient will get the time they need to have all questions answered, or concerns addressed. It’s worth the wait for such sincere concern and phenominal care. And I’ve ALWAYS had very quick, almost immediate, responses to messages I’ve left using the My Chart app. Not only are his staff devoted to him, other medical professionals are quick to acknowledge Dr D’s skill. And his staff is the BEST! Ask around any hospital in our area… He is exceptionally well respected. (Left Hip replacement performed on my 85 yr old Mother)

Dr,Dohery is an excellent ortho surgeon.Having had a rt total knee years ago,I knew he was the one to do my left total knee.His reputation is well know throughout the valley.I am now pain free,3months post op.Doctors entire staff should also be commended for their excellent work as well.Would highly recommend Dr Doherty & his team to anyone in need of his services. I work as a Tradesman and have suffered from knee pain for years. I finally decided to have them replaced by Dr. Doherty. He replaced my both hips about 8 years ago and everything went great. He and his team were extremely professional and helpful. I followed their instructions to the letter and after my 1st knee replacement, I was back to work in 7 weeks. After my 2nd knee replacement, I was back to work in 5 weeks. I don't know if I will ever need their expertise again but I would definitely return for any other procedures. I cannot express my satisfaction or thankfulness for all that they have done for me.

Dr. D. Is very thorough in explaining the joint replacement process. He has an excellent reputation (just ask area nurses and physical therapists). Had a total knee, My rehab has been uneventful and I’m pain free ( 3 months post).

Dr Doherty discovered my left hip was bone on bone. He explained everything that had to be done to fix the problem. I was quite concerned about the procedure. We discussed alternatives but the total hip replacement surgery was the best solution. The process of getting ready for the procedure was awesome. I knew everything that would be done. Dr Doherty advised me that after it was done my pains would be reduced. And they were. My concerns were addressed the entire time during recovery and today I am fully recovered and the pains are gone. I endorse Dr Doherty 100%.

I did achieve my goal. He had and have Gold hands. I'm glad to have him as my sergeant. I'm wish to him many years to leave and work.

I am a double knee replacement recipient. Dr. Doherty replaced my right knee in November of 2014 and my left knee in May of 2022. He is an excellent surgeon! My recuperation from the surgeries was uneventful for both! I am, at long last, pain free!

Dr. Doherty is the best. Had two hips done. Now no pain and back to doing all activities. When I needed my first hip done I asked two cousins who are nurses who they would recommend. Nurses hear all the good and bad from patients. BOTH said Dr. Doherty! And they were right. Not only is he a fantastic surgeon he takes the time to make sure his patients are informed and comfortable with the procedure and recovery goals. His staff of nurses are great. His PT department is awesome! Both time I went directly to outpatient PT rather than having any at home. The staff there really knows their stuff and helped accelerate recovery. Highly recommend Dr. Doherty and his entire group.

Dr. Doherty is awesome! I had two knee replacements done separately, one in 2020 and the other in 2021. I am now running up and down the stairs. I can walk confidently with no pain at all. I can easily walk 10,000 steps per day. Dr. Doherty has a wonderful personality. I am a firm believer that a doctor should be both personable and efficient. No matter how busy he is, he will always have time to tend to your needs and answer your questions. I like the way the incision was covered with surgical tape, rather than staples. The inner stitches just disintegrate on their own, and the tape gradually peels away as the wound heals. Not much maintenance is needed. I will say that I did do the exercises faithfully. The more you work on them, the easier they become. If you are suffering with bone on bone knee pain, I highly recommend that you contact Dr. Doherty to get started on the road to pain free living!

I really like Dr. Dougherty, He is very personable, explains everything, with as much detail as you ask for. He is a great person and surgeon.
