I have known Dr. Val since 2013. He treated me for Afib. The hard part was finding the false electrical pathways to and from my heart but he got it done. He has done more for me than previous Cardiologists have. He did not force me on a pacemaker. I have not had an arrythmia in years and I am very active. He may be a little rough around the edges but he is serious about his trade!! He is from Chil, S.A., and I speak his dialect. People need to get to know because he is a great Cardiologist!!

Bad Experience...Blunt, unfriendly, appeared disinterested and hurried. Majority of his 5-10 minutes spent talking directly to his nurse/assistant with virtually no dialogue with client, never examined me even minimally. Suggest another physician if you have a choice!

26 years ago when I was 18, Dr. Val-Mejias & another electrophysiologist did a radio-frequency catheter ablation to remedy my AV-nodal reentrant tachycardia. I had taken different meds from the time I was 12 for an arrhythmia, and was always the youngest person in the waiting room at Galicia. I haven't taken heart meds since the procedure. I am now 44, live in Hawaii, surf several times a week, and am working on a PhD. I was incredibly fortunate to have met Dr. Val and am forever grateful.
