I was having bad pain on my right side that I had trouble walking- loss of movement in my toes went to see the doctor, she ordered a MRI, I was able to see my results the same day-I did not hear from the doctor for 5 days and had to set up a virtule appointment, she then ordered a 2nd MRI with contrast all this time I'm in extreame pain,I had also been calling the office and sent a couple of notes after the first MRI doctor never acknownledge them.By the time I had the 2nd MRI I went to a surgeon who sent me directly to the hospital to be admitted for surgery. The pain I was in was unbeleaveable and she just shrouged it off. maybe she should experanice it and she would have more companission for her patients

Horrible office
I have been waiting for this office to send my insurance company a pre authorization for a shot that I need for pain, and they have yet to do so. I have been calling this office for weeks and all I get is the run around. I was seen on July 18th, and still no word from this office. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!! You all need NEW front office staff and telephone service training!!!!

Life saver
While the wait time is long at times, I never feel rushed and I know that Dr. Arias truly cares about my well being. Most of the issues people complain about are actually front office related.

Compassionate and well trained
Dr Garau is truly kind, empathetic and extremely well trained pain management specialist. Her training is slightly different in that her base was in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as opposed to Anesthesiology, as most have done in the past, and she did a great fellowship in Pain Management and knows her field well. Her knowledge and desire to help were quite obvious to me. Unfortunately, what is out of her control is she works in a system that does not allow her to spend the time I know she would want to, nor to express her genuine and sincere desire to be of enormous service, in a way she would likely want to. The hospital sadly lines up too many patients in a day for her, and it would be difficult for any MD to manage the stress/volume and also to convey her sincere kindness while feeling that pressure. I personally don't care to have a scribe in the room as one has no privacy but again that is out of her control. In the end, she is extremely well trained and truly caring.

Disrespected and Humiliated.
I have never been treated as disrespectful, nor utterly humiliated, as I was by Dr. Arias. She literally yelled at me in regard to my memory impairments and functional limitations. Though she had no problems billing my insurance company many tens of thousands of dollars, suddenly she’s screaming “why not” in response to my limitations. This, despite 8 surgeries, 50% fused spine, and 50% of the remaining vertebrae severely degenerated. She was always nice, until she wasn’t. I was even yelled at for wanting to decrease my medication doses. Horrible one year roller coaster of treatments.

If you have FIBROMYALGIA do not see this Dr, she doesn't believe it's real. If you are overweight you can expect to be fat shamed at every visit. Save your time and money.

Worse experience ever, I took my mom to see her 2 weeks ago June 2018. She spoke to us like we were stupid and had a 2nd grade education, at one point she yield at my mom and walk out the room while we were still talking to her. Her attitude is unbelievable, such a young doctor but so nasty and rude. The nurse that was with her Add more compassion and she tried to talk to us after the doctor stormed out of the room. Never again.

After making my parents wait for an hour and 45 minutes in the examination room, with no communication from the staff, she treated them as ignorant children. No respect! Jessica, please take accountability for your behavior and the management of your office.

Dr.Arias is the most compassionate and caring physician I have ever known. She is professional, very knowledgeable and treats her patients like family members. It is sad that drug seeking patients are not happy and write a bad review of such an amazing human being. I love her, she is one of a kind! Highly recommend her.

The worst experience I have ever had in ANY Drs office. The nurse walked in the room, and before she even asked, she told me that under no circumstances does the Dr. dispense medications. I was not there for medications and was highly insulted by this beginning conversation. The Dr. has the personality of a dial tone. She recommended an MRI but when I was given the prescription it was for a CT. Scan. She changed with no explanation. When I questioned the nurse, she exploded. UNACCEPTABLE!!!

I absolutely adore her expertise, caring nature, and diligence on trying to stop your pain. Today, I had an epidural lumbar injection. The nurses in the room were great at calming me by rubbing my leg to relax me. Dr. Arias spoke to me during the entire procedure. She did not rush and was very thorough the entire procedure. I would not have trusted any other doctor based on may opinions I had received. For 2 years she has been right on every treatment. Thank You Dr. A! xo

Apparently well qualified, but in a rush. She has a busy practice and I felt like she didn't give me enough time. I was in a lot of pain and she was not sympathetic. Scheduled treatment 3 weeks later. Wouldn't fit me in despite my pain. So I called another pain doctor and was seen immediately and given more attention.

Very caring and compassionate Dr. She took time to explain to me the MRI, X Rays and her treatment plan. After trying with 2 prior Drs. without success, at last I found a Dr. that helped me get back my quality of life again. I feel so much better of my horrible back. pain. !Excellent professional!

Wouldn't go to her again. Tried to explain to her how I fell and injured my neck resulting in constant pain. She snapped at me and said "Don't tell me your life story." What kind of medical professional says this to a patient?? Extremely, extremely horrible attitude to take toward a patient. She'll never see another dime of my money!!

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Arias Garau. I brought my mother in to see Dr. Arias for chronic back pain. She had already been to 2 prior pain management doctor without any help. Dr. Arias took an exceptional amount of time listening to my mother, reviewing her MRI and x-rays and coming up with the CORRECT plan of care. I am happy to say my mother is in a lot less pain today because of not only Dr. Arias's expertise in her field but also because of her care and compassion.
