Dr. Jerry Caporaso Jr, MD

He is incredibly condescending, has horrible bedside manner, doesn’t listen, talks over you and generally makes you feel horrible about yourself. Left his office in tears, too many times. Don’t feel comfortable discussing issues with him. His nurses are awesome, the only reason I stayed as long as long as I did was due to his caring nurses.

I've read through the reviews and have had similar bad experiences. Although he is VERY knowledgeable, he is arrogant and definitely minimizes any concerns you may have. Like the review regarding a cyst, I too had a large cyst. I ended up in the emergency room because a 5cm cyst has burst inside me and I had no clue what was going on. they gave me tons of pain meds and antibiotics and told me follow up with my doctor. I did and he asked why I even made the appointment. This was years ago. I went to Dr. Bacsik and when she retired, Dr. Caporaso took over. I really don't mind that he goes through his "lecture" quickly. 99% of the time I don't even listen to him because he says the exact same thing, every single time. and it has NOTHING to do with my reproductive organs. I do believe he's a very well informed doctor, which is why I didn't give 1 star. However, his approach isn't the greatest and he definitely shames you and minimizes any concerns you may have. However, staff rocks!

Appointment for test. Provider was house shopping, forgot about appointment. Waited 1 hour for them to arrive for a 5 minute test. When I had a family emergency. Had to reschedule my surgery to take my parent in for an emergency cancer surgery. Gave 2 weeks notice & they still wanted to charge me a fee. I canceled 2 days prior to an appointment due to conflict. They said no problem & rescheduled me. Only to call back & tell me that they were going to charge me for less than 24 hours notice, even though it was over 48 hours. They explained it was an optional holiday, that they decided to take off. So they were not counting that day. It was still over 24 hours. Too bad- poor policies made it so I couldn’t go there. I was always very reliable/ punctual. Never a no show. They just don’t seem to care about me as a person, just the money.

Very caring and a great bedside manner. Highly recommended.

I went to Dr. Caporaso because During an ultrasound sound of my kidneys, the radiologist incidentally found a 6cm ovarian cyst. At the start of the appointment he laughed at me, and took out a ruler to make me visualize what 6cm looked like and that there was no way this could be true because I would be in a lot more pain. The ultrasound he performed revealed that my cyst was actually 8 cm and he started freaking out, calling the cyst "nasty." He tried pushing me to do surgery to remov the ovary

I had my first appointment with Dr. Caporaso today. Went in for an annual paps and help with anemia related issues. He took the time to talk one on one with me regarding my health issues and explained everything thoroughly. The exam itself was very comfortable. He is extremely professional and gentle which makes a difference. Highly recommended!

Dr. Caporaso is always interested in answering my questions and helping me solve any difficulties I might have. He is careful with medications, but not unwilling to prescribe them when necessary. He is efficient and thorough doing exams.
