My mother had been coming here for blood tests and check ins for 10 years after being cured of breast cancer twice. Early 2021 she was having stomach issues/pain. She went to see Dr. Kortmansky he repeatedly told her she had “GERD” or acid reflux and it was nothing serious to worry about. She went back to see him a number of times in 2021 complaining of the same issues. They even gave her a blood test showing elevated liver levels which in the past was a tell tale sign of cancer with my mother. She continued to tell Dr. Kortmansky she felt it was NOT gerd or acid reflux issues and something more serious was wrong but he wrote it off as her being “paranoid.” She finally ended up going to Hartford Hospital to get an endoscopy and come to find out she had a large tumor in her stomach. She is now under the care of Sloan Kettering in New York. She has INCURABLE Stage 4 Gastric Cancer. If you’ve had cancer before and want to make sure you don’t get it again DO NOT see Dr. K.

When I first met Dr. Kortmansky, I was inexperienced with the health care system. He immediately cajoled me with smiles and chuckles about how good it would be for me to join his study. Bringing out the contract he assured me the stated side effects DO NOT HAPPEN. After, at a later time, I requesting no more treatments, and received, assurances of more would be okay, I suffered a near death experience. I have a damaged heart, joints that hurt so badly I cry, visual disturbances, and more. The contract stated that it was the study's responsibility to treat and diagnose my injuries. DON'T BELIEVE IT. IF YOU CAN FIGHT PEOPLE WITH MUCH MORE EXPERIENCED THAN YOU, YOU MIGHT RECEIVE SOME SATISFACTION. Every medical question that I asked Dr. Kortmansky, that I later found the answer, HE WAS WRONG. If you participate in a study be advised: They don't care about you. The data they collect is worth more than you are.

I would be dead if my family didn’t get me away from him. Arrogant and unfeeling. Stay away!

My friend described Dr K as having a cold bedside manner. That proved true when her son passed and the dr nor his office sent any recognition of his passing. The nurses and some aids reached out to her. She is so very hurt by Dr. K’s lack of heart.
