I have Confidence in Dr. Everton
I didn’t know what to expect at my first visit. My former Dr., whom I loved, had moved on and Dr. E was new to me. I was relieved to find Dr. E professional, concerned and sympathetic. She made sure she had all information on me and asked other questions she thought pertinent. She‘s business-like and professional, which I like cuz I’m not there to catch up with a friend. I’m there for a comprehensive review of my health and attention to symptoms that are new. I might say something in passing that prompts her to ask me questions and that has led to a diagnosis for something I was unaware I had. She’s sharp as a tack and she gives me confidence that I have a caring doctor that doesn’t want to overlook anything. If I have nothing new happening with my health, the visit is fairly short. But if I have something I’m concerned with she takes time and listens carefully, and gets me to the next step of diagnosis. She’s great!

I’ve been seeing Dr. E since I was 18 - aka young, dumb, and emotional. I’m 25 now so I’m still all of those things but a little less perky. I’ve struggled with both mental illness and chronic physical illness over the last seven years. She’s always there when I need a firm hand and a little guidance without ever condescending to me. She takes my symptoms seriously, listens well, and wants to find and treat the cause. She’s not an overly bubbly, warm, fuzzy person, but she is kind and lets me cry in her office and laughs at my bad jokes. I find expectations for her to coddle her patients pretty sexist, but Dr. Everton really has sort of held my hand through some of the worst times in my life. With her team, I can do anything. I recommend her to anyone and everyone.

It's real simple. She saved my life. As a newer patient of hers after my doctor left the clinic she recommended a routine test that I had had a couple years earlier. I had no symptoms, but she gently pushed me to take the test. The results came back low in the questionable range, but she referred me to a specialist. Turns out I have cancer, aggressive, but she caught it early so it is very treatable. As I said, she saved my life.

I was happy with Dr. Everton initially. She listened to how I felt and made decisions from that. However, after going to a new doc for thyroid issues, she was very condescending about my alternative treatments and chastised me, even though I feel better after the change. She likes being in full control of her patients.

From my point of view she is not the friendliest or the most compassionate doctor. With her a bit "tough and rough" personality she doesn't really try to make you feel comfortable around her. However, as compared to other physicians, she really does listen to your concerns and doesn't dismiss your worries. If you have a problem, she will order different tests to make sure there is nothing serious. I loved that about her. Unfortunately our insurance changed. I wish I could have her back.

Dr. Everton is both compassionate and thorough. It is true that she, as has been my experience with all my providers at Associated Physicians, develops life-long relationship. So strong is AP's commitment to its patients that I choose my insurance plan based on which will allow me to continue to go there. I have been a patient there for 57 years, which makes me a patient longer than most of the providers have been alive!

Dr Everton is very caring and knowledgeable. Both my late husband and myself started seeing her nine years ago. I drive from Cambridge to see her because I like her so much as a doctor and as a person. In my book she is a top notch physician!

Never looked me in the eye. Poo-pooed all symptoms and was annoyed that she was filling in for Dr. Fothergill. Rushed through the appointment, bruskly told me that she only has 10 minutes per patient, then prescribed a muscle relaxer for chronic sinus pain....I've never been prescribed a muscle relaxer for sinus issues. Was very rude and unprofessional. Acted like I was there just to get drugs, which was extrememly insulting. Will not go back.
