Outstanding, caring PCP
Dr. Fothergill is a highly knowledgeable, compassionate, and deeply caring physician. Despite the extremely busy schedule that all PCPs face every day in 2024, she finds time to truly listen, to connect, and to be present. She is responsive and her staff are phenomenal. Highly recommend to anyone who is searching for a PCP who will take the time to listen and care. Thank you Dr. Fothergill, for everything!

I was excited to begin care with dr. Fothergill years ago and I’m not sure what took so long to write this but was really compelled to do so after a handful of visits with seriously underwhelming care. She’s very by the book and you don’t feel comfortable to state your concerns without visible speculation. She has made me feel there’s something wrong with my approach of simply listening to my body and looking for advice. If you want the most basic care for everyday needs, she’s fine. Otherwise cold and distant, Have left on every occasion awkwardly feeling as though I wasted a copay and wanting a second opinion. Scheduling with the clinic is a nightmare and intake staff is rude and aloof.

Dr. Fothergill is the best doctor I've ever had. She is caring, thoughtful, extremely knowledgable, isn't patronizing, and I always leave feeling I got quality care from her and her team.

My very first visit with her NP and I'm called a liar. When I made my lab appt, I really did ask if it was a fasting lab and she told me based on the order it was not. But the NP called me a liar when she said, "I doubt that." The NP also wasted my time and money too. If this is acceptable to you, then I should find another doctor.

Dr. Fothergill has been my internist for almost 5 years now, thankfully. She is exceptionally: smart, knowledgeable, caring and a true partner in my health. I never feel rushed and Dr. Fothergill patiently listens and thoroughly examines what is relevant and needed without overmedicating or pushing for unnecessary procedures and/or tests - a rare gem.

I have had several complex medical problems, and Dr. Fothergill always takes the time to listen and then comes up with a comprehensive plan. I am an RN, and so I know how to assess MDs. I am very conscientious and patient focused in my practice, and I look for that in a physican.

I have been a patient, of Dr. Fothergill's, for almost *five* years. Quite simply, she is, by far, the *best* PCP i have ever had -- it's *not* even close ... I have found Dr. Fothergill to be *fully* open, to my ideas and input, re the/my course of treatment. I absolutely *cannot* recommend her highly enough -- she is *that* good! Michael K. Totally agree with 2 other reviewers. She ignored years of recommendations and medication history from the doctor she replaced, Dr. Frances Ryan. She has refused to renew 2 of my scripts that are hormonal in nature and decreased my script for another from 90 days to 30 day refills. She refused to listen to me. I told her this costs much more money and running around. She treats her patients with a cookie cutter approach not as individuals. Love Dr. Ryan, leaving Dr. Fothergill.

I had the same experience, great at first, but - was labled as "depressed" since I told her Lyrica made me feel very weird and not like myself, and I knew that could be a side-effect of the medication. But that was it, from then on, everything was due to "depression". That said, for back pain, hot flashes, you name it - she kept trying to prescribe low-dose anti-depressants! She loves to Rx amitriptaline. Not sure what hours she keeps, but is never in, which is frustrating.
