We were blessed that we had Dr Smith perform my daughter’s broken ankle surgery. Great bedside manner, great staff, great surgeon. We don’t live nearby but worth the drive

Dr. Smith is so personal and down to earth not like most Drs. who rush you in and out. He explains thing to you where you can understand.

Dr. Smith has been amazing. He has done a wonderful job helping me with my injury and did a great job with my surgery. Still many visits left. I am very thankful to have gotten him as my doctor.

Terrible bedside manner! Was more concerned with insurance company than his patient. Took very little time to try and properly diagnose my pain. Would not order the necessary tests, only wanted to give steroids for an undiagnosed condition. Always felt like I was keeping him from something much more important than the patient in front of him. Zero empathy whatsoever.

Dr. Smith is a caring and precise professional. If you have ankle or foot problems look no further because you found the best. Excellent communicator and supremely talented board certified orthopedic surgeon.

Dr. Jeffrey Smith, Jr., MD is a communicator. He has, what we call in medicine, a “positive nice guy sign”! He is engaging, with great eye contact, actively listens, and is reasonable in his recommendations. He clearly knows his specialty, foot and ankle. Frankly, I would trust him with any orthopedic issue. I believe him to be honorable enough to refer a patient to a colleague -- the right colleague -- if he knew there was someone else who could better treat what was wrong. I have no doubt he would make that referral. He’s one of the good guys! I am an internist in the area, but I got the distinct impression he didn’t treat me any differently than he treats everyone who walks in his door. Refreshing! Give Dr. Smith the opportunity to see you. See if you, too, think he has that “positive nice guy sign”! I think you will be quite pleased.

I met Dr. Smith when admitted to hospital for a staph infection near my elbow. He performed the surgery to clean it out. He was very professional, easy to talk to, and explained/answered all questions with ease. It didn't hurt that my wife thought he was Dr. M cDreamy. Hahaha Aj

Dr Smith is awesome!!! He's has a great sense of humor but at the same time is very professional! He explained everything that was going on with my ankle and answered all of my questions. His recommendations gave me hope for relief of my pain. I highly recommend Dr Smith and Orthoatlanta!!

I'm extremely pleased to have Dr. Smith taking excellent care of my ankle & big toe, both of which needed surgery. He is patient, kind & listened to each of my concerns at every appointment never making me feel rushed. I was thrilled he was already aware of precautions I needed to have taken for a relatively unknown genetic condition which made me one happy & satisfied patient!
