Dr. Jeffrey Shaver, MD

I first got in to Dr. Shaver on a recommendation from my Mercy GP. I have been well pleased since He has been my eye care list since. I have recommended his office several time over the years. I got my wife to see him after she had seen an eye specialist for years. She is happy to have Dr. Shaver as her eye specialist and we both have had cataracts removed by him. I.

Dr. Jeffrey Shaver and his team wonderful and professional. He did two cataract surgeries I'm happy I see now so great like never before without any problem. Dr. Jeffrey Shaver has gold hands and kind heart he cares about every patient. I grateful have a doctor like him. Just LOVE him. I highly recommend Dr. Jeffrey Shaver.

Dr Shaver was recommended by our family eye doctor for cataract surgery. The exam and Dr Shaver was professional and complete. Then the hard sell began. Dr Shaver kept pushing for his Forever Young plan for $3,500. When my husband put his foot down and emphatically said no to this that he only wanted mono vision. He was shown the $400 up charge for mono vision. Because of the recommendation of Shaver by our eye doctor he paid the up charge. After the visit we talked about it and said that didn't seem right. We investigated and found that there is no reason for an up charge. When your Doctor orders the lenses to be inserted it makes no difference to them if they order two different prescriptions. Dr. Shaver's office will only do mono vision with an up charge. So they are charging $400 to fill out a prescription for two different lenses. Needless to say we have requested our money back and going elsewhere. Shame on this office for overcharging seniors.

I have a very difficult situation with a combination of diabetes and injuries in both eyes. Dr Shaver and his team have monitored this for me the last few years. It gives me great comfort to be under his care. At my visit today he inquired about my blood sugar numbers and he was justifiably not happy. He gave me a firm and very caring pep talk about how important it is to get this under control not just for my eyes but for my entire body. I needed that . PERIOD. I am thankful that Dr Shaver has the wisdom to do that when needed and always has your best interests in mind.

Poor customer service at reception. Wait time long. Had to return several times to correct vision after surgery. Would not recommend this doctor.

I highly recommend Dr. Shaver for any of your ocular needs. He makes you feel very comfortable with his knowledge, willingness to help you understand what your situation dictates, his compassion and excellent staff. He has a surgical center in the same building for your convenience.

Recently moved to Edmond from South Carolina and needed an Annual Eye Exam. Referred to Dr Shaver by my PCP. An excellent experience from checking in at the front desk, my eye exam through check out. A very professional and efficient operation. I was very pleased with my visit.

If you want contacts Dr. Shaver is not the doctor to go to. When I initially scheduled the appointment I told them it was because I needed new contacts. Nobody from the staff informed me that Dr. Shaver does not fit or write prescriptions for contacts. They sent me to his "Contact Guy" where I had to pay another fee to get fitted. Overall it was a waste of my time and I will not be back to him.

Dr. Shaver is a very caring and knowledgeable doctor. I am only sorry that I didn't find him years ago. His staff have all been very efficient, professional and kind. I have already started recommending Dr. Shaver and his staff to my family and friends.

Dr. Shaver is wonderful. As previous reviewer said, he is a specialist and due to this if there is an emergency or something he can run behind, BUT the wait is worth it. I am never there more than an hour. I love that he takes time with his patients to make sure that they get the care needed and all questions that they have answered. The staff is very kind and patient with people, even the rude ones, and they always answer any questions you have. I will definitely be returning to see Dr. Shaver!

Had 2:00 appointment scheduled 3 weeks in advance. Arrived a few minutes ahead of appointment. 15 minutes after my appointment time asked how far behind he was running, as I could not wait long and would have been happy to reschedule, receptionist was rude saidno way to know, he is a specialist 55 mins. after appt. said I would have to reschedule, again receptionist was very rude. I get sometimes things run behind, but did not expect the rudeness and total disregard for my time.
