Dr. Jeffrey Mathews, MD

I just had my third colonoscopy with Dr. Mathew’s. The staff and office are aboveboard with great care and professional setting to a not so great of a test, having colon cancer in my family has given me a preventative need for care.

Dr. Matthews reviewed my healthcare information and gave me the most concise and reasonable plan I’ve been offered. He saw me very quickly, reassured my concerns and delivered a plan to follow.He’s very kind and compassionate and I’m so grateful to have found him.

I’ve had sixteen consecutive colonoscopies. Dr. Mathews truly cares about his patients. Following my first colonoscopy he called be on New Year’s Eve with my test results. My wife and I knew we were in great hands afterwards. I hope he works until he’s at least 80 :)

Dr. Matthews is a caring, wonderful and excellent physician. He is very thorough and listens to his patients. His follow up is great. I even asked the staff if he was as nice to them as he is to his patients and every one of them said, “ABSOLUTELY “ and he is an excellent doctor as well.

Dr Mathews and his entire office are all great! They make sure you are comfortable and answer any question you have. I would not hesitate to go there if you have any gastro related issues. I recommend him to everyone. I also have been seen by other doctors in the office and several NPs and they are all equally knowledgable and caring.

I had an endoscopy with Dr. Matthews on January 29, 2022 since I have Barrett's Esophagus and need to have my condition monitored. My doctor of many years, Dr. David Benage had retired and I was reluctant to go to anyone else. But after having met Dr. Matthews and having him do the procedure, I am entirely comfortable with him as my new doctor. He gained my trust and is as personable as Dr. Benage. He even personally called me with my test results which I find extremely caring. So glad to have entrusted my care to him.

Dr. Matthews to the time to listen to the problem my wife was experiencing. We just spent time with three ER doctors, one GI Specialist, one Internal Medicine Specialist and a neurologist as well as a five day stay hospitalized at Mercy. None of the above could dx my wife properly. It took one office visit and Dr. Matthews successfully diagnosed the issue. He went out of the way to prove his dx by testing the same day, which confirmed his dx. We could not recommend him enough. Excellent Dr.
