Nightmare
Waited 2 months for appointment, he came late and was very rude. I told him about the pain in my wrist and hand and he told 'that's just the way it is' I can't believe this guy is a doctor. Gave me no value at all. I learned nothing. Going to seek medical care elsewhere.

Such a disappointment
Appeared in a rush. Very disappointed in this Doctor. I expect Ann Arbor to be of higher quality medical care. I wanted another opinion on a difficult ulnar bone surgery but there were no strategies. I drove all the way from Kalamazoo for this. Unfortunately Now Medicare has to pay this Doctor.

Dr. Lawton is the worst! I saw him after waiting about a month for my appointment and he basically waltzed in 45 min past the appointment time and declared there was nothing he could do to help me! I went there after suffering from an infection neat the thumb for 1 months. While infection healed, it left behind a tissue mass (phlegmon) that would not clear itself. But Dr. Lawton had THE worst condescending attitude towards me and basically washed his hands off saying it was not his problem!

Great experience with Lawton. I had a broken radius (wrist fracture) and the bone healed improperly. I had surgery which Dr. Lawton performed and am currently recovering. His bedside manner is great, he listens to your concerns and takes the time to explain what he found and the plan going forward. That being said, you as a patient, must follow through with physical therapy. If you don't you won't be happy with the recovery. Recovery from this is a slow frustrating process.
