Excellent Doctor to see
Trust plays an important role with me in finding patient care, and me and my spouse have put Dr. Uzma H. Rehman at the top of our list and have been chatting with others about this doctor. The doctor at Hand & Microvascular Surgery: Doctor Uzma H. Rehman is excellent; McLaren Macomb should be glad that this doctor has privileges at their healthcare facilities! However, I would like to make comment about this Dr. Rehman. The following applies to this doctor has gone the extra mile in help me with my hand pain. That no other two doctors have been successful either “Fixing” “Repairing” and/or “Temporary” relief and ignored trying to help my hand pain out. May I add: Patients see more of the medical staff, and patients form an option about doctors from how the "Medical staff" handles patients at doctor’s practice! Summary of Dr. Rehman: This doctor saw me the first time on an emergency visit last year to understand my issues with my hand pain. Quickly reviewed my issue took Xray’s and

Dog attack Emergency Surgery for hand and forearm
I felt reassured when meeting her just prior to surgery. During the process and follow up visits in conjunction with physical therapy I have progressed. Much damage was done including the need to have replacement parts of tendon, muscle, bone etc. I believe she has taken me as far as possible for this type of injury. She and her staff are excellent.

Dr. Rahman performed joint replacement on my hand in March. My scar of twenty stitches is now barely noticeable. Her therapist Sheila was tremendously helpful to getting my strength back over a period of a couple months. Dr. Rahman was very personable and knowledgeable as well. I am back to playing golf, and doing everything else in my daily life with no hand pain. I would recommend ( and have ) Dr. Rahman to anyone with hand issues.

Horrible
I definitely will not be returning here moving on with my care. I had my infant daughter with me and after being given a shot in my left wrist joint and splint on my left thumb...one of the nurses was kind and offered to help me to my car. The kind/compassionate nurse had the car seat in her hand and the Doctor (Uzma) stated with horrible smugness "what are you doing with THAT?" Prior to that the assisting resident tech said something off putting. I'm so grateful that being a mother has changed me. Aside from that she's a McLaren Macomb Doctor the worse in my opinion and I will definitely be calling my insurance to make sure my insurance or I have not and will not be doubled billed. Soooo disappointed!!! Btw even with the splint and shot there is still horrible pain. In addition, the rehabilitation tech was talking to patients so loud you can literally hear her recite patients personal information. No thanks do not go here at all!!! If I could give this place a zero I definitely would!

She and her staff are very professional, thoroughly understood the procedure and helped navigate recovery. I would highly recommend Dr Rehman for any hand problems.

Dr. Rehman and her entire staff are wonderful. Every time I have called to change an appointment last minute or hearing the girls on the phone with other patients, they have always been friendly. Dr. Rehman listens to your complaint and uses every resource she can, before operating. That is something in particular that I personally like. I would absolutely recommend seeing her.

Dr. Rehman operated on my broken wrist. Detail instructions were given at each appointment of what to do and when, and PT recommendations given. She answered all my questions during appts and did not rush through the appt. Additionally, the staff was very friendly and efficient: both the assistants and the front desk. I definitely recommend her.

Dr. Rehman is a pleasant physician, but in my opinion, did not perform my surgery correctly. She's great before treatment and short on answers after. There was a lump after surgery which Dr. Rehman recommended massaging. The lump never went away nor was any explanation given. Since the surgery was performed at a teaching hospital I suspect and intern did the "close" and screwed up tying off the tendon. Since no explanation was provided I'll never know. Go somewhere else.
