Bad experience
I'm not revealing too much here but I do want people to know this is not a good doctor and others in the practice were not good either.

Had my mother to this practice. Horrible experience. Proposed a surgery on a sick and failing person that would have been devastating given her life expectancy and other considerations. This doctor was the primary problem but others in the mix. Nice enough acting, which is part of the deception. Avoid.

Couldn't see him to start but instead sent to an assistant who couldn't make eye contact and looked annoyed with any question. Didn't see Starr until surgery time and he was cavalier. Interaction with anesthesiologist was awful as well. Whole experience was bad. This is not a caring physician or staff.

Bad. Seeing a lot of bad reviews. Agreed and can't add much more than what' already here about how poor the care was. I don't know where the good reviews could possibly be coming from?

Dr. Starr has been my prostate cancer doctor prior to and following the treatment for the cancer (8 years now). He's very knowledgeable and has always been very thorough and explained things well. He's easy to talk to and ask questions of. His staff are very personable and ready to help. They are also very prompt and I never wait long on any visit. I always leave feeling confident in my health status and what is being done for me.

I don't know if I'm seeing all of the reviews, but the ones shown match my experience. This is not a good doctor. Avoid at all costs!

Completely agree with the negative reviews on here, mostly about this guy having no touch or ability to tie things together. Was he nice enough? He was fine. Do I trust him or recommend him? Absolutely not. Same goes for others on this staff. Traverse City needs competition among urology practices.

A disaster. This guy has no touch. No ability to connect issues. Interactions with his stiff and uncaring PA Jen were no better. This was a troubling experience start to finish that didn't need to be.
