Personable but Lacking in Diagnostic Rigor
The most I can say for Doctor Chen is that his office had plenty of space and his desk staff were friendly. From the outset, though, Doctor Chen seemed to combine a lack of diagnostic rigor with an insistent confidence in his unsupported diagnoses. Diagnosing the acute onset, currently chronic post-COVID malaise I continue to experience was written off as 'needing to stretch' by Chen. When the nerve irritation began to spread to other parts of my body, he simply increased the assigned stretches. That I got any bloodwork and imaging at all was because I insisted... had I followed his advice, I'd have gone three months in pure misery waiting for his suggested follow-up.Perhaps he has areas in which he excels. But he failed me when I needed him most.

He is a great doctor and excellent teacher. All my family loves him as a professional and we agree he is the best doctor we have ever met!! We highly recommend him as a family doctor!!

Ended up at the ER and admitted to the hospital because he never addressed my problems. At first, his 'blessings' seemed cute, but it became apparent that this guy had no idea about what he was doing. Tried to convince me my medical problems were 'anxiety', despite that I told him firmly they had nothing to do with anxiety. In hindsight, I think he was projecting his own unresolved mental health issues on me. He has boundary issues and seems to distort reality. Upon meeting him, he showed me a power point of a patient who lost weight and got well. He really idealized this experience, yet it was just a guy that lost weight. I should have turned around and walked out the door then. Lesson learned.
