Dr. Birkel has helped me with some ankle issues for over a year now. He has an excellent caring manner. He answered all my questions & gave suggestions as to what could be done to help me. I would highly recommend him to my friends and family.

Dr. Birkel has a calm, professional bedside manner. Office is very punctual. I decided to do the laser toenail and topical treatments instead of prescription medication. Dr. Birkel respected my decision. I had severe toenail fungus on my left foot. I have undergone 3 laser treatments and no more yellow fungus. I’ve completed 3 treatments and will go for another 3 more and continue until my toenails fully grow out. This office also has an inexpensive treatment plan. They do not rip you off and charge exuberant, unnecessary treatment. Please be patient if you chose the laser. It will not happen overnight. I live in VB and chose to go to the Suffolk office and am glad I did. The staff that administers it he laser is fantastic and friendly, always have a smiling face and know what their doing. Just do it if you have patience and want to get rid of the fungus.

Dr. Birkel is one of the best doctors in this area. He takes time to explain the patient's situation, provides solutions, and gives the patient a chance to ask questions. He never makes us feel rushed during the appointment. He is very thorough and you can tell he genuinely enjoys helping people. He is definitely in the right profession. I am glad we found him! I can't say enough good things about him! His staff is also wonderful and very friendly from the representatives making the appointments by phone to the office staff! I highly recommend him!

The Harbour View staff were very friendly and pleasant. They all, including Dr Birkel were very attentive to my 87 year old mother diabetic foot care and her concerns. I highly recommend this doctor and office.

Awesome customer service. Very polite and patient with me. Front desk takes time out to help you with your paperwork. The X-ray tech was very pleasant. Spoke to you and laughed with you. Dr Birkel is the bomb!! He did a thorough check of my feet. Explain everything that was on the X-ray. He answered all my questions. The whole office made me feel comfortable. I will stay with Dr Birkel and his team.

Dr. Birkel was very kind with my 11 year old daughter. She has ingrown toenails and he was gentle and patient with her, making her laugh during the appointment and it helped make her more comfortable. Very friendly.
