The doctor is thorough, to the point and absolutely listens to his patients. The staff is fantastic and if you ever need an orthopedist, Dr. Proto is your guy.

Dr. Proto was always very thorough and I never felt rushed. His staff is friendly and professional and efficient. he also took time to explain everything going on with my foot.

I had been having pain in my heel for over two years. A different doctor told me it was common and there wasn't anything that could be done. I went to see Dr Proto to see if he could give me a shot to help with the pain. Several friends and family members said the pain could be significantly decreased with a shot and I was in so much pain that I was willing to try anything. I met with Dr. Proto and I did indeed get the shot. It worked OK, but I was in pain again within a few months. Dr. Proto ordered an MRI and found out that I had a cyst on my heel close to my nerve. He operated and removed the cyst and I am now pain free.Dr. Proto is very knowledgeable and caring. He took the time to explain all my options and answered all my questions. His office staff was awesome. I didn't have any issues at all. His surgical staff was amazing. My quality of life has improved so much. Thank you Dr. Proto!

Dr. Proto removed a fairly large bone spur on my heel,and did major revision repair to both my achilles and calf tendons. Everything he told me to expect afterwards has helped me greatly. My recovery is going exactly how he told me it would.

Dr. Proto did tendon transfer on my foot as a ‘salvage operation’ on a completely blown out peroneal tendon. He saw me through an almost 7 month journey! Today o graduated! I am no longer in severe pain at all times. I can walk, work and exercise without debilitating pain! Thank you!

In his photo, Proto looks friendly. However, in person, he rushed my appt. He wouldn't even let me ask a few more questions. He's a typical allopathic doctor, focusing narrowly on factors that indicate a need for surgery. Since this didn't apply to me, he sent me on my rapid way.

Dr. Proto has done surgery on both of my feet and I am back to an active lifestyle! 100% recommend him and I am so happy I chose him as my surgeon!

I was having difficulty walking without pain. Dr. Proto diagnosed my condition and recommended two surgeries. I have had no complications from either surgery and seem to be completely recovered.

I liked Dr. Proto's professionalism and his way of explanaing my needed surgery. He did a super job on my hammer toe and straightened my other toes. His staff is very friendly, helpful and kind. I highly recommend him and would return if needed to have him do my surgery.
