I had been an established patient of Sharp for 7 years but my primary care doctor moved to a different hospital and then my insurance changed so I had to switch away from Sharp for one year. I came back to sharp and was assigned Jamie Lavender as my primary care doctor. She is an awful doctor with no regard to her patient's feelings. I just had my first appt with her to establish care and she judged me, waived her hand at me, refused to prescribe me medication that I clearly have been prescribed at Sharp for 7 years, told me to calm down/be patient and ultimately made me cry and walk out without receiving care. I highly recommend seeing another doctor and am very disappointed in Sharp for accepting this level of care.

Going to another doctor saved my life
where to start? I saw her to address full body hives I was experiencing. She was cold, lacked empathy, and even rolled her eyes at me when describing my symptoms. She didn't order pretty basic tests considering my age and symptoms. I went to an allergist at her own facility and he was appalled at the lack of tests she ordered. Turns out I had Thyroid cancer. A simple thyroid panel would have surfaced that. I wish she read these reviews. She needs a serious reality check.

Stay away
Lavender's lack of empathy for my individual needs and circumstances were appalling. I thought I as a patient was supposed to be able to discuss my health needs with my doctor without judgement. I understand caseload and limited time, however, to purposefully bring me to tears over and over again and treat me and my situation with such disdain is devastating.

I’ve never felt the need to review a doctor, but I’ve also never sat crying in a doctors office out of frustration before either. This doctor is dismissive, pretty much speaks like a robot in regard to her recommendations - you can sit there and share your personal experience about a health concern and she will respond with very general advice that sounds memorized and rehearsed. When booking the appointment, I was told by reception she doesn’t like to address different topics in one appointment. Weird. Nonetheless, I caught a day with two appointments available back to back and booked both of them, each for a different concern, just for them to contact me saying I can’t do that. The whole appointment feels rushed and I’m certain she doesn’t actually listen to understand your concerns, but rather to do the bare minimum, write a prescription, and rush off to the next patient. I’ll never come to this doctor again and would never recommend her to anyone.

Never had my appointment with Dr. Lavender as I cancelled. I booked the earliest appointment that 5 weeks out. Dr. Lavender was inflexible and uncooperative in arranging for a few things even prior to my appointment with her. With covid and appointments being booked months away, and other medical providers and I tried to get everything squared away and ready for the first visit with her (ie labs) and she refused to cooperate under the claim I wasn’t her patient despite my scheduled appointment. Called another doctor and when I made the call to schedule, was able to get all of my ducks in row for the first appointment, all in advance.

I called about conditions I wanted to review. The nurse came in and reviewed them as well. When the doctor came in she addressed the top three and left. I think I have toe fungus and chased down the nurse to see if she would just come in and look at my toes. Said She moved on to next patient and it would not be possible. I am sitting in the room :60 seconds from her exit? Very disappointing.
