Flippant & Incorrect
Dr. Pavelka was one of the worst doctors I have ever encountered .I was referred to him after finding large lump in my abdomen and having a CT scan. Even though it was years ago, I can clearly remember him coming into the room for the first time, asking if he could do a vaginal exam. Then while doing this, telling me that he looked at my scans, which showed ovarian cysts from endometriosis and that I should have a full hysterectomy. I was only 30, and as i was trying to hold back tears, he then asked if I've ever had unprotected sex and said since I've never gotten pregnant that I'd never be able to get pregnant. All of this while I'm lying vulnerably on the exam table. He then had me get dressed and meet in his office where he asked if I want to have children- after he had just told me that I'd never get pregnant & should remove my uterus!I'm so glad I found another surgeon who was able to remove the cysts, keep one of my ovaries. And have been pregnant twice now!

I was a bit anxious when I was in his office but as soon as he came into the room, he made me feel at ease. He explained everything in a way I could understand, I am so pleased with him and his staff. I had not seen a gynecologist in years so this visit was scary at the least. Thanks so much doctor Pavelka. You and your staff will be in my prayers always.

Dr Pavelka is fantastic. He is intelligent, knowledgeable, competent, kind and funny. I received a frightening diagnosis but he was very comforting. He is efficient and his office runs on time, but he doesn’t make you feel rushed. He always answered all of my questions. He is protective of his patients and wants the very best for his patients. I trusted him right away. I would definitely reccomend him to my loved ones. His partner Dr Basil, nurses, and staff are also great.

Thought he was an excellent surgeon but he had a poor bedside manner. He was very clinical and not very personable. Not exactly what I wanted from a cancer doctor. Wasn't very good at controlling my pain immediately after surgery or in the weeks that followed. His nurses are fantastic.

He is amazing! When no one else seemed to know what to do he spoke with confidence and had answers and a plan our first meeting. He removed a 40lb ovarian cyst from my 20 year old daughter through a 4" incision and made sure the incision was in a place to prevent excess pain and shorten healing time. We liked him immediately. I would recommend him to everyone!

I cannot speak highly enough of Dr Pavelka. I was terrified when I came into to his office because of possible bad news. He knew exactly what to do, how to help, and answered every single question so that I could understand exactly what was happening to me. He is funny, knowledgeable, and great at adjusting his mood per situation. Not to mention, he arranged to have his office open early one day for me to fit my work schedule.
