Dr. Monks needs to retire... .... beware of bills as he tries to collect from you and your insurance. He reads test results even if he is not part of your insurance and the passes the bill to you.... using your Dr. as a false reference..... noting on the bill to talk your insurance company into getting the charges paid. Really

Dr. Monk had to read a short report when i was brought in to Valley for emergency surgery. He charged my insurance company $940, the paid him "usual and customary" at $291. He was out of network (I did not choose him as I was unconscious). He has been chasing me for the $642 balance for over 2 years. He uses a loop hole to "balance bill" his patients, which is ridiculous. Imagine him billing $2,000 for this service (no law says he can't) and chasing me for $1,709. This is harassment!!!

Doctor Monks staff is rude, When working with insurance companies they really drop the ball. Both times they have not provided the information my insurance asked for then expect me to pay the balance. They then send you to a collection agency So once I got the insurance company to pay I called them up to see what was owed and was told its in the collection agency hands and that they cant tell me how much is owed. I would not recommend this doctor and practice to anyone
