Highly disappointed!
Very disappointing to be dealing with a specialist who is helpless, careless, condescending and interrupted during the appointment. No solutions or alternative was offered, resulting in unmanaged pain and a patient emotionally distressed.

Dr. Harms knows his stuff and comes very highly regarded by many former patients, including a decent number of MD patients. He is very clear, patiently answered all of our questions, and never pointed to surgery as the only answer for our issues. His mantra: If it ain't broke, don't fix it." In several cases he suggested that we get second opinions so that we were clear on the kind of choices he suggested. Harms has a great sense of humor, but he always gets the message clearly. He no longer does surgery, but he is great at helping his patients think through their options.

In spite of his dark sounding name, Dr. Harms seems only interested in helping. My teenage daughter was very nervous following X-rays showing a slight curvature of her spine. We saw Dr. Harms to consult on these X-rays. He was very thorough, respectful of my daughter's intelligence and modesty, and clear in his recommendations and explanations. Grateful for his experience and manner. Recommended!
