Caring and competent
Back when I broke my acetabulum in 2016, following surgery, I went to several pain doctors who did extremely limited testing, only to tell me I didn't have nerve pain, but then prescribed narcotics! I finally stopped the narcotics and tried Dr Cosgrove, who did the nerve conduction test, which showed my nerve damage. He didn't prescribe narcotics - instead he started giving me injections in my back as needed to settle the issue down. They worked! I have chronic damage from my initial surgery, but see Dr Cosgrove every few months for injections and am able to walk now without a cane, an NO NARCOTICS! I have nothing but praise for this doctor who listened, did his own testing, and then began treatments accordingly. In my eyes, he's the best!

The front desk help was wonderful. But the doctor (he shouldn't be able to call himself that). He's someone who doesn't listen to what a patient says, their pain or their issues. In his head, he likes to come up with his own opinions and not look at the testing. He has made remarks about tests that he didn't agree with and called those doctors or radiologists liars. He's so full of himself it's surprising that he can walk a straight line without tipping up with the weight of it. I wouldn't recommend seeing him if you want true and honest answers about your pains. UPMC should give him the pink slip.

I literally would rate this a 0 but they need to give him the benefit of the doubt and give him at least 1. He is a con artist and I am concerned as to why he still has his license. Numerous people I have met explained he does not do the proper requirements for assessing the issues in which said person is experiencing. I do not know how he sleeps at night. He gives the umpc group a very dishonorable and unappealing name. Do not waste your time.
