Diagnosed and fixed my knee after 3 dr’s couldn’t
I was finally referred to Dr Carey after two years of persistent knee pain that flared badly if I walked more than a few blocks (I was only 27). I had been to multiple doctors, did PT 3 times, tried injections and medications, orthotics, anti inflammatory diets, and anything I could with no relief. I was feeling hopeless about a future of pain and inactivity. At the consultation, Dr Carey listened to me, suggested a few likely causes of my pain, and even went through a PowerPoint he’d given about one condition. I got in for arthroscopy within a few weeks, where he finally diagnosed and fixed the problem (plica.) The relief at finally having an answer and a cure after two years of pain was incredible. I’m posting this a year later because I met my final post-surgery goal of biking 100 miles in a day, and my one is great! I’m so grateful to Dr Carey (and his team, and my PT). They genuinely gave me my life back.

Dr. Carey gave me my life back. After having a handful of knee surgeries done elsewhere and having a different doctor mess up my knee, Dr. Carey was the only doctor that I found that actually listened to me and wanted to help me. He was more than patient with me and took my requests and concerns into consideration when performing my surgeries. Thanks to Dr. Carey, I feel better than I have in 10+ years and I am back to doing things that I truly thought I would never be able to do again. I cannot thank Dr. Carey and his team enough.

Best doctor EVER. He redid my knee surgery that I had done somewhere else. He is more than happy to answer any questions, actually spend time with you during your appt, and isn’t a pompous Ahole like the previous surgeon. I could not recommend him enough to anyone who needs knee surgery. He also is a bit ahead of the medicine curve in terms of advanced practices and medical know-how. Had I come to him first I would never have had to redo the surgery in the first place.

I would give 10 stars if I could. Doctor Carey spends time talking to you, explains everything fully, and makes you feel understood. My son had surgery yesterday and he called on Saturday. Not his assistant, himself, to check on him and make sure all was well. I am thoroughly impressed!

He was extremely thorough. He took the time to give me and my wife an explanation of the diagnosis and review of the diagnostic tests. He has done surgery on myself and 2 other family members. He is excellent.
