Dr. Jake Porter III, MD

What stood out the most to me was first the beautiful office and the wonderful staff late the McDonough location. Everyone in the office was very friendly and helpful. Dr Porter took all the precautions to make sure that everything that i told him that was hurting was well looked at and into. He is very detailed oriented and very knowledgeable of his job. He takes pride in the services that he provided. I knew i was in very capable and good hands after my first appointment. If i ever need another orthopedic doctor he is the doctor i would trust. Thank you again.

On January 7, 2022 I passed out from a extremely low hemoglobin and broke my ankle in 3 places ( compound) fracture. After the first surgery from another doctor I had a Sesptic Infection from the hardware. I was referred to Dr. Jake PorterIII in bad shape. His professionalism and expertise save my foot from amputation. I love Dr. J. PorterIII for his caring, professionalism and knowledge. He gave me hope after so much disparity with truth and honesty. I am still healing well and continuing my my appointments with him.I highly recommend Dr. J. PorterIII to all patients in need of an Orthopedic specialist. You could not find or ask for a better doctor. He is the best and I thank God for him and his profession in saving my life.God bless him.

I received surgery from Dr. Porter III in January 2021. I honestly thought that he would do everything in his power to make sure that all of my symptoms were relieved. On the exact day of surgery, Dr. Porter informed me that he would like at the medial side of my left ankle with the arthroscope. A couple of months later he revealed to me that he never looked at and that was where the vast majority of my pain was. He was also disinterested when I tried to express my feelings towards him in regards to how I was feeling about my ankle.

He is wonderful, I went to see another doctor first with piedmont and wanted a second opinion and I ended up getting an appt with Dr. Porter, and after several visits I chose Dr. Jake Porter to do any surgery I needed, I felt comfortable and in fact he discovered something else he would probably have to do during surgery that was never mentioned that probably would have lead to me having a second surgery if I had chose the other surgeon. And I’m very thankful for that 1 and done. I had surgery on Wednesday morning 1/11/23 I’m in pain but I knew I made the right decision trusting in Dr. Porter to take care of me, and he nurse Charlie at the office is awesome.

I received total ankle replacement and subtalar fusion by Dr. Porter Oct 5, 2022. 2 weeks later I was able to see my ankle as the splint then sutures were removed. Dr. Porter spent time with me in a Pre Op appt before surgery explaining the process of what he was going to do and then did the same in Post Op appt. After reading his operative notes and listening to him explain my new Xrays I was in awe over this man’s gift. He showed me the images and explained in detail everything he did. Totally impressive and fascinating and I so appreciated his time especially with how busy he is! He is an amzing surgeon and treated me like I was his ONLY patient. I feel like he does this for all his patients. I highly recommend Dr. Porter for your foot and ankle needs. He changed my life and for that I am eternally grateful.

Dr. Porter was very professional and personable. He studied my X-rays and ordered additional X-rays to ensure accuracy in his findings. I’m glad the office booked him for my appointment.

He was very thorough, thoughtful and kind. His diagnosis was 100% spot on. He also treated my daughter after misdiagnosis from other doctors. He both diagnosed her condition and developed a successful treatment plan. Great doctor!
