Dr. Jairo Olivas, MD

After 2 visits with Dr. Olivas, I couldn’t be happier. He is exceptionally kind, interested in getting to the bottom of my several issues, discussed the various options available going forward, explained my condition well while showing examples of what my body is dealing with and never tried to hurry me through the office visit. He listens intently while not trying to hurry me through my decisions on the path forward. He is a dedicated care giver! I wish all my doctors were like him.

Good initial experience with terrible red flag: I saw Dr Olivas because I had widespread muscle/aches and pains that have lingered throughout my 20s. He was kind during the exam, checked out my muscles/joints and made me do tests to check my them. He was great in that regard. He pinpointed the muscles that were having problems and why it was causing pain and functional issues. He did an extensive blood work to rule out other diseases like rheumatic ones. He gave me a referral for PT. Great. But then my struggle with mental health intensified. The practice knew well I had terrible anxiety and insomnia. I reached out by email to Dr Olivas saying going to PT was impossible with my insomnia. ad that was the last communication. He never followed up. He never reached out. Didn't even have someone in the office do it. Scary stuff! Medical community keeps telling patients, especially men, to overcome our reluctance to address mental health issues and Dr Olivas failed. Spectacular.
