Dropped as patient after 15 YEARS!!
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Vivas for 15 years. Up until just recently I would have given him 4-5 stars. In January, I woke up sick and couldn’t make my appointment. I called and left a message the morning of and apologized. I requested in the voicemail to call me back with a rescheduled appt. I didn’t hear anything, so I called a week later and again had to leave a voicemail. It’s now March and I had heard NOTHING! I could understand if I was repeatedly missing appts, but I have not. I thought if a doctor drops you as a patient, they would need to send a letter explaining why. I guess he doesn’t care enough to even do that! Very disappointing!! Would not recommend!!!

Terrible to make an appointment
I moved from Metro Atlanta to Columbus 2 years ago. My Rheumatology Doctor transferred all my records over. Each time I called the office I could never get through. When his office staff at long last called me back they made all kind of requests from me despite having my complete updated records. They either wanted x-ray results or new blood work before I could even be seen even though they had all my current records. At one point they wanted me to have my records sent again. I was unable to do that since a year had already passed in which I was trying to get an appointment and my Doctor in Atlanta had already retired for a year. If you want to not only want to play telephone tag with his office but have requests if things that your Doctor has already sent, DON'T BOTHER CALLING THIS DOCTOR. I had to find a different Rheumatology Doctor.

Dr.Vivas is doctor who listens to you. I could follow his logical thinking process. A process of elimination. It all made sense to me. I'm thankful that he took me in as a new patient. My case is complicated which required many tests, and xrays. During the second visit, he went over the results and gave me a series of treatment options, with his guidance I was an active participant of what course to take. My opinion mattered and his expertise has made a big difference in my well being.

Discourteous and unprofessional office staff took three weeks to try to get an appointment and they never read the referral sent over from my doctor were out of fax paper the third time we tried to send it then he finally just said he wasn't going to take me as a patient with no reason why so now I'm 3 weeks late on getting my terrible pain taken care of. I would steer clear of this unprofessional uncaring doctor!

Dr Vivas will use any excuse to remove you from his patient list. Miss an appointment and you are gone. Does not fill out FMLA paperwork in order for you to keep appointments without penalty from your employer. Ridiculous for chronic illness

I have been a patient of Dr. Vivas for over 10 years. He has always been very professional, courteous, and willing to take time to answer any questions I might have. His office staff is great and I’ve never had any issues with them. They only problem I have is that due to his patient load and the fact that he doesn’t employ a PA it can be difficult to schedule appointments on a timely basis.

My interest sent over my labs with elevated ANA and because I was previously seen by his mentors son, his nurse called and left a VM stating that I didn't have an inflammatory issue! I called his office and was told that he would not see me because of his affiliation. He rather lie about my illness than see a former patient of his mentors son. All he had to do was refer me elsewhere. I am glad this happened because I see how unprofessional he is. If possible go elsewhere!!!!
